Esme and the lane way
Today I am feeling a little different... I felt like doing something I never do... my hair is straight, my lips are pale and my dress is a child's, and 1960s style. I have also answered some questions passed along to me by both q's daydream and ruby roulette unravels (thank you), something I rarely do. I enjoyed reading their answers, though, and thought that while I am having such a not-the-norm day, it might be fun.1.Where is your phone? next to me2.Your hair?
personal style, sewing, fashion and fabric — insatiable need
I don’t mind telling you I failed spectacularly at keeping my 2013 resolutions, especially the ones about healthy eating. Oops! But I shall persevere for 2014 nevertheless.

Thankfully everyone seems to be making a switch from plastic to lasting when it comes to shopping bags, so here’s another fun little tutorial on customizing one to make it oh so cute. You might notice a lot of doilies in my recent diy projects. Since I was getting so many ready for A Christmas Gathering I used a lot of the same materials…monograms seems to be pretty popular now too. My friend Cindy called while I was working on this and suggested I just go ahead a put a “W” on it for her, I happily obligied.

Day two of Design Trade Blogger tour started with our Styling challenge at VIPP, in case you missed it, see my pictures here: Vipp Styling Competition. And after a tour through the old silversmith Georg Jensen we were off for a working lunch at the Bella Sky Hotel where we discussed the plans for te forthcomming Design Trade Faire and our Blogger zone. Before heading of of to Host, the restaurant I wrote about when it opened here we visited Vitsoe in their new office with an amazig view over the roofs of Copenhagen. I made some picture of their Shelving system but I thought these pictures, which I found via Pinterest, give a better idea of the many ways to use the system.

Hello decor8 readers, are you ready for another trend report? It’s Gudy again with a trend report for February. I have been wanting to write about this Micro Trend for quite some time already but I thought it could be a nice moment to be shared when little Aidan (Holly’s baby) arrived. So let’s see if we get him a mini teepee when starting his first crawling adventures! What do you think, Holly? Have you noticed too a certain Native American trend on the rise, both in fashion and interior with loads of arrows, feathers and teepees?
