Duolingo, aprende un idioma mientras traduces fragmentos de Internet Con el año nuevo nos planteamos un montón de buenos propósitos: ir al gimnasio, ponernos a dieta, aprender o mejorar un idioma extranjero. Este último es precisamente el que quiere ayudarnos a conseguir Duolingo, cuyo objetivo fundamental no es otro que lograr traducir Internet, sus contenidos de texto, a todos los idiomas más usados en el mundo. Para ello, en vez de usar traductores automáticos del estilo al de Google, que si lo habéis utilizado alguna vez sabréis que falla muchísimo, quiere formar una red de usuarios interesados en aprender un idioma que irán traduciendo porciones de Internet mientras aprenden. Se trata de un ambicioso proyecto de Luis von Ahn que quiere transformar la compleja y tediosa tarea de traducir Internet en una actividad que millones de usuarios quieren hacer: aprender un idioma. All of the major social networks are keystones of our online life and make up a big portion of who we are. So it’s no surprise that there are now guidelines on how to cite social media using the MLA and APA standards. In fact, I’m surprised it’s taken this long to see this topic hit the mainstream.
