Simple & Elegant hairdo ~ E.L. I've been doing this hairstyle ever since I caught one of my friends doing it in the exam hall, I was sitting behind her during the paper and she did the whole hairdo in 2 seconds even without anything to secure it in place! I was so impressed! So now I'm sharing it with you here, unlike my friend's hair, it does need a hair-tie rubber band to secure it in place. This is a great hair-do if you're having a bad hair day, it can quickly give you a neat look. So I used only a single hair-tie rubber band and it stays in place, but if you find your hair slipping out, you can always use bobby pins that are the same colour as your hair to hold it in place. Have fun! Cheers,E.L.
the TUTORIAL: BRILLIANT BRAID So we saw this tutorial the other day and thought it was brilliant. Hence, the name. I think I watched the video about 7 times because what I thought was happening in the video wasn't working on my hair. I figured I (Casey) would take some pictures and explain to you exactly what I figured out. Pull your hair together to one side. Grab the bottom of your hair and pull through the hole. To make sure you don't have one big hole down the middle of your "braid", put your fingers through one side of the last twist. Finish with a clear elastic and you are done!

Donut Bun Tutorial Two Ways - Regal + Rocker Time for another hair tutoriaaaaaal! (I hope you just read "hair tutoriaaaaal" with your best Oprah sing-songy voice because I did. Actually mine was more me badly impersonating Maya Rudolph impersonating Oprah, but whatever). So onto the hair. Also, this tutorial uses the "loop" technique we described in the bow bun tutorial, so if you haven't seen that one, take a peek. You will need: - ponytail elastic (two if your hair is thick like mine) - lots of bobby pins (don't skimp) - hairspray - mousse or volumizer (if your hair doesn't hold shape well) - teasing comb - you will definitely need this for the rocker version. Instructions: more directions after the jump... Moving on to the rocker version! I also have to thank my photography assistant. Actually, he was a little miffed that I was photographing something other than him when he woke up from his nap...a little case of the jelly beans. So there you have it! If you give either a try, send me a photo - I'd love to see how it turned out.
Bless Me, Ultima: Plot Overview When Antonio Márez is almost seven years old, the old healer Ultima comes to stay with him and his family in their small house in Guadalupe, New Mexico. The family has taken in Ultima out of a respect for her healing powers, her knowledge of plant lore, and her long use of folk magic in service of the community. Though they have great respect for Ultima’s spirituality, the family, especially Antonio’s mother, is devoutly Catholic. Antonio spends a happy time with Ultima, learning about plants and trees and helping her gather herbs on the llano. That fall, after helping his mother’s brothers, the Lunas, with their harvest, Antonio begins school. Antonio’s friend Samuel takes him fishing and tells him the story of the golden carp, a river god who looks out for mankind. Antonio goes to visit the garden of Narciso, the town drunk. One afternoon, Antonio witnesses an altercation between Narciso and Tenorio, the father of the wicked sisters who cursed Lucas.

Full Beginners Running Program | From Zero to Hero Regardless of your fitness level, you can easily start from zero to running 20 minutes continuously in 10 weeks. The running program below, adapted from the New York Road Runners Club, does exactly that and is an example of an ten-week run/walk strategy, aimed at beginners in good health. You can do it. All it requires on your part is the commitment to go out and run 3, preferably 5 times, a week. You’ll know how often to run, by listening to your body. Some people take more time to recover between workouts and need to run fewer times a week, while others recover very quickly and can run more. Depending on how often you are running, try to allow for a day of recovery between runs. Warm up before you start with a 5 – 10 minute fast walk and cool down with 5 – 10 minutes of slow walking. If you run flat out, you will be too exhausted to repeat the intervals and will probably vow to never run again. This program should suit most non-active beginners.
