The accepted explanation is that the women detect each other's pheromones, subtle scents that each of us produce, and somehow these only-faintly aromatic but powerful compounds influence the women's hormones and make their menstrual periods arrive around the same time. But at the State University of New York, two evolutionary psychologists were puzzled to discover that lesbians show no McClintock effect. Semen is best known for what's absorbed by the vagina, sperm, which swim through it on their way into the fallopian tubes where fertilization takes place. Vaginal tissue is very absorptive. In our first list we covered such illnesses as Stockholm Syndrome, and Stendhal Syndrome. This time we are looking at some slightly more physical disorders – many of which are the result of physical damage to the brain or parts of the body. I guess that could be interpreted as their purpose, but the work is not purposeful in and of itself. I guess "pay enough to take money off the table" covers that, so we're only talking about how to motivate people after they're at the comfortable level most Americans that read this blog are at. Interesting results in India, though. I believe there is a threshold that once you're paid a certain amount, you feel on top of things like you deserve it, so you don't work hard to move up further. I think that's one reason government employees aren't known for super service. @Blueluck: Its completely subjective, is the answer.
