London is probably the only place in the world where Life drawing classes happen pretty much every day. For that reason, I decided to start a new blog and I will be posting all sort of useful information I come across on it and I might even post some of my drawings. Hopefully you might find some information helpful .

Color Photography from Russia in the Early 1900's Posted Oct 21, 2009 Share This Gallery inShare58 The photographs of Russian chemist and photographer, Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii, show Russia on the eve of World War I and the coming of the revolution. From 1909-1912 and again in 1915, Prokudin-Gorskii travelled across the Russian Empire, documenting life, landscapes and the work of Russain people. His images were to be a photographic survey of the time. He travelled in a special train car transformed into a dark room to process his special process of creating color images, a technology that was in its infancy in the early 1900′s.

Speaking of Animation » Archive for year 2011 I had a chance to check out this past weekends animation offerings and I must say that I was thrilled with both. First was the Toy Story short Small Fry that is playing in front of The Muppets. This is the first animation I’ve seen from Pixar’s new studio Pixar Canada. It came out great and for a short the quality was right up there with the film. Rebecca S waltzforluma: "Holo Pearl" from Steven the Swordfighter. This is a medley of all of Holo Pearl’s music in the episode. Since she’s a broken facsimile of Pearl, we used a glitchy piano and an erratic collection of sounds.Music: Aivi & SurasshuArt: Joe Johnston I love Holo Pearl’s fight theme so much. Aivi and Surasshu are always blowing my mind!

Because the film is also a Danny Elfman-penned musical, it feels like a successor to ‘The Nightmare before Christmas’ (1993).
