Conflict & Design Deze triënnale focust op de manier waarop designers omgaan met conflictsituaties en op de impact van hun ontwerpen binnen onze samenleving. Meer nog, ‘conflict’ is voor hen de aanleiding om tot innoverende maatschappelijke designprocessen en –projecten te komen. Het verleent inhoud en betekenis aan hun werk. De tentoonstelling biedt stof tot nadenken over hoe we in de (nabije) toekomst genoodzaakt zullen zijn om op fundamenteel andere manieren met elkaar en met onze natuurlijke bronnen om te gaan. De designers tonen hoe ze via hun designproces oplossingen bieden voor allerlei conflictvormen, van sociale conflicten tussen mensen onderling tot conflicten met de natuur, in de huidige economische situatie en in een ontwrichte samenleving. In de tentoonstelling wordt dit gepresenteerd in vier categorieën: Conflict & Maatschappij, Conflict & Natuur, Conflict & Economie en Conflict & Conflict.
