DIY Geometric Favor Boxes from HEYLOOK

DIY Geometric Favor Boxes from HEYLOOK
We can barely contain our excitement to share our newest DIY project with you all! The ladies from HEYLOOK sent over these incredible geometric faceted favor boxes (polyhedron), perfect for a display table of their own or for use as place cards at each guest’s seat! Without further ado, here’s how to get started: Instructions: Print this template onto thin cardboard stock or thick paper in the colors of your choice. We chose a set of strong colors, but these would also look super-cute in pastels or in gold, silver and/or bronze. Cut out along the straight lines, then fold along the dotted lines. Try to assemble the box without gluing it first, so you can see which sides go where. Now you can start to assemble the boxes with paper glue. Cut out small strips of paper and add texts. Now your boxes are ready to be filled with goodies. And you’re done! View step-by-step images in the gallery Download geo boxes template here.

Weave Magic Now that title may lead you to believe that this is about hair, but it ain’t got nowt to do with do’s that contain more tracks than a remix. But, in this case are about paper weaves (no we aren’t talking about some new fangled bio hair that is linked to the murder of trees); we mean that old school craft of weaving paper, and weaving it geek style. Apart from the awesome-sauce tutorial deets from Mini-Eco; all you need is some strips of paper, the will to survive, and the design eye of the tiger – if you can master the pain of paper cuts and keep moving forward then you will have been able to create an uber awesome gift topper. A gift topper so awesome, that the bride will not notice that you are re-gifting the present that she got you in 2005. With a gift topper this cool, you will be forgiven almost anything (murder included). The photographic and make glory go to: Mini-Eco About the author I'm the big kahuna with the whole shebang.

3D paper diamonds Hello there. Hope you all had a great Easter! We had a lovely relaxing holiday (….well as relaxing as it gets with kids). It would have been great to have another week off ^_^ Before I forget I just want to say a big thank you for all the kind messages you have send me regarding my book (you really are a nice bunch!)…and huge thanks to all the people who have bought it so far… I’ve been meaning to get this paper diamond up for weeks now…but it’s taken ages to figure the template out (and I’ve been having breaks between each failed attempt). It’s based on simplified version of Satoshi Kamiya’s origami diamond. These paper diamonds are tricky to make (& require a fair bit of patience) so definitely adults only! When you have made your diamonds you can attach thread and hang them up. How-to 1. 2. 3. 4. Happy Monday all! Edited to add: A few people have had problems printing the templates (the dotted lines do not print).

KLDezign les SVG Felting Project: A Rug! This is the most beautiful felt project we’ve seen. Strips of felt are wrapped around each other with hot glue to create this amazing swirled effect. What a great project for a snowed-in weekend and a movie marathon with the family. Keep reading to see more pictures and find out where to find more details about this beautiful felt project! So there you go! How to Make Paper Pencils (tutorial) I have always wanted to make my own pencils, but the thought of shaping two pieces of wood to allow a piece of lead to sit perfectly inside made me think it wasn’t worth the effort. For some reason I was looking at some pieces of lead I have (for a drafting pencil) and “pop” there it was.. a solution to my DIY longing. Here is a tutorial to make pencils that is so ridiculously easy I’ve made 10 pencils since the idea came to me yesterday! Enjoy. Paper: I recommend using 6″ origami paper. Here’s a video I made so you can watch me make it from start to finish! I have to admit I really enjoyed doing this craft. Hope you’re just as excited about this as I am! leads {here} paper {here} mod podge {here} {If you like pencils, you may also like my toadstool pencil craft!} Share 16K+ Kimanh Hi my name's Kimanh.

Papercrafts and other fun things: A Carousel Box That Really Spins Two versions of the carousel. The one on the left does not have the box base. I love carousels. Home DIY: Rope Bowl I have quite a love for WWII military, and this bowls fits perfectly into that love being made out of a 1940s Army tent rope. This bowl was so easy to make and perfect for storing my little trinkets that I always tend to lose. ---------------------------- Skill level: easy Time: 15-30 minutes Supplies: Rope Mold for bowl (glass works best) Hot Glue Gun Scissors Thread (optional) The rope I am using is from a vintage military tent, but you can buy new rope at any hardware store, or old rope digging around at a local thrift or flea market. To start forming the bowl: Take your heated hot glue gun and put a dab of glue at the end of the rope and turn it so you glue the rope to itself in a spiral pattern. ~ Optional: Wrap thread around the end of the rope, tie the tread ends together and cut off the excess. When you are done gluing, simply pull the rope bowl off the mold (may take a little pealing and gentle prying, depending on how much glue got onto the mold) and you are done!!

Envy never looked so good! *Correction the bride Ming made these, Kellan Studios shot the invitation!!!!* We can safely list this invitation under things that make you damn x 3. When we first saw this on Ruffled, we made a valiant attempt not to lose our ish. It is literally a invitation that will make most designers Hershey squirt because it is sooooooo. freaking. inspired. (do you like the full stops for emphasis thing it is something new we are trying out – try saying it in person for some strange reasons it ruins conversations – who knew?) The crafty geek who made divine paper chic is the rather talented Ming, and shot by Kellan Studios – this was a DIY job can you freaking imagine – a DIY job that in our minds has gone horribly right.
