Inside Out | A Bookish Mix - T Magazine Blog Rita KonigThe bookcases in Ahmad Sardar’s New York apartment are stocked not just with books, but with all kinds of art and objects. There is a definite art to filling bookshelves. I don’t think there is any right or wrong way; the only thing that doesn’t work for me is when they are empty. While scouring design books, I find that I am always drawn to rooms where an entire wall is devoted to books. Books, quite obviously, give depth to a room, since they are one of the sure signs that someone with a pulse actually lives there, and the colors of the spines give a wall that random pattern that modern interiors so often lack. Yesterday morning I went over to Ahmad Sardar’s East Village apartment to photograph his wall of bookshelves. I am currently working on a project where I am installing Vitsoe shelving, an adjustable metal system designed in 1960 by Dieter Rams, which works fantastically in both contemporary and traditional spaces.
Buenos Aires Expats - Online Community of Expatriates and guide to living in Buenos Aires, Argentina Setup CCleaner to Automatically Run Each Night in Windows 7, Vista or XP After writing the article yesterday about how to run CCleaner silently through a shortcut or a hotkey, many people expressed to me that they’d like to know how to run it every single night on a schedule, so I’m writing that up for everybody’s benefit. Setup Your Options You’ll need to decide which settings you want to run when CCleaner is run automatically… for instance, I’d look at whether or not you want to clean out your cookies or recent documents (which is a feature I use often, so I don’t want them cleaned out) Next, take a trip over to Options \ Advanced and make sure that the “Save all settings to INI file” option is checked (it should be checked by default). This makes sure that whatever settings you’ve chosen are saved out to an INI file in the same directory. Create the Scheduled Task in Windows 7 or Vista Open up Task Scheduler by typing it into the Start menu search box, or browsing to Accessories \ System Tools. Give the task a memorable name like “Run CCleaner”
About RocketDock The Real Caffeine Hey DVD-Rippers, the updated version of this article is located here. Happy ripping! VLC Media Player is one of the most versatile media players ever. What it lacks in looks, it more than makes up for in functionality. It can read and save all the major formats of video and audio, and much more than that, it can rip DVDs. The first step is to open up VLC and click the open button (it’s the leftmost one). Once you’ve got the right video though, open the settings box and uncheck the “play locally” box if it’s checked (unless you want to watch it at the same time it’s ripping) and check the file, video, and audio boxes. Click OK, and OK again. Disclaimer: Because of the DMCA, it’s illegal for you to rip a DVD that has CSS (a form of DRM) on it.

How to make a small kitchen efficient | The San Diego Union-Tribune I've got nothing against these grand spaces, but it always warms my heart – and my design sensibilities – to visit small kitchens that sparkle with both efficiency and style. Boat owners have long known that, with disciplined use of space and creative selection of essential kitchen tools, a small kitchen works wonderfully. The same is true for those of us (me included!) I have a good friend who loves to cook, but was frustrated by the fact that the kitchen in her cottage-style home was not only small, dark and cramped, but poorly laid out. The few counter surfaces were crammed with appliances, and she had to bend her 6-foot frame to the floor to locate things on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator or pots in a lower cupboard. But then she spent a fortnight in a small seaside bungalow cooking, baking and entertaining in a kitchen the size of a large closet, and learned that it wasn't size that was important but, rather, feeling happy in the space. »Next Story»
Buenos Aires Tours & Sightseeing Guide » Boedo ‘New Barrio’ Buenos Aires Stay Apartments We have recently decided to add five ‘new Buenos Aires barrios’ to our website. We decided to expand the number of barrios where we offer vacation rentals in Buenos Aires because of the demand for lower cost quality apartments and the good safety records of the Buenos Aires City barrios of Almargro, Boedo, Chacarita, Colegiales and Villa Crespo (now called Palermo Queens by Realtors). Boedo Introduction Boedo is located west of Buenos Aires´ business district (Microcentro) just past Balvanera (which is more typically known by its three districts Abasto, Congreso and Once). Boedo is one of those Buenos Aires neighborhoods often overlooked by both tourist guides and tourists alike. The San Lorenzo de Almagro football club has its home in Boeda. Boedo History Boedo is one of Buenos Aires´ newest barrios having been formed in 1972 at the same time Balvanera was separated from Almagro. Originally, the area was a light industrial area of warehouses, flour mills, brick ovens and milk drums. Misc.
