Mini EMP Electronic Circuit Schematic Mini EMP Schematic L1 is 3 to 12 turns of 24 gauge wire. T1 is a coil manufactured by Toko electronics, not Toyo. It is available here. Thanks for pointing this out, Clinton! The battery pack consists of four nine volt batteries wired in series. Return to the Schematic Archive you knew i was going to make one. they are all over pinterest....(i still am not signed up for pinterest because i don't have time for one more thing but browsing is fun!) so we made one. i took a box of 64 crayons and took out the blacks and browns.i used another small box and doubled up on the good colors i liked and hot glued them to the top of our canvas. then we turned our blow dryer to hot on high. not long after you set the hair dryer by the crayons they get shiny and then the wax starts to melt! and it dries really quickly too. seriously. what could be happier than this?? GREAT project. loved it today is the first FULL day with ALL my kids in ALL day school.yeah...i am smiling as i type that. it's good. it's quiet. i am rockin' it. removing wallpaper.....making code for craft weekend stuff.....doing my hair....going to lunch..... it's all good. hooray for school!
Tesla polyphase induction motors : AC MOTORS Most AC motors are induction motors. Induction motors are favored due to their ruggedness and simplicity. In fact, 90% of industrial motors are induction motors. Nikola Tesla conceived the basic principals of the polyphase induction motor in 1883, and had a half horsepower (400 watt) model by 1888. Most large ( > 1 hp or 1 kW) industrial motors are poly-phase induction motors. Construction An induction motor is composed of a rotor, known as an armature, and a stator containing windings connected to a poly-phase energy source as shown in Figure below. Tesla polyphase induction motor. The stator in Figure above is wound with pairs of coils corresponding to the phases of electrical energy available. The stator in Figure above has salient, obvious protruding poles, as used on Tesla's early induction motor. Stator frame showing slots for windings. The stator laminations are thin insulated rings with slots punched from sheets of electrical grade steel. Theory of operation Motor speed Example:
Computer Power Supply to Bench Power Supply Adapter Step #13: Add Labels For Each Pair of Terminals PrevNext To help keep track of the different voltage outlets, I labeled each pair of terminals. Supernova A supernova (abbreviated SN, plural SNe after "supernovae") is a stellar explosion that is more energetic than a nova. It is pronounced /ˌsuːpəˈnoʊvə/ with the plural supernovae /ˌsuːpəˈnoʊviː/ or supernovas. Supernovae are extremely luminous and cause a burst of radiation that often briefly outshines an entire galaxy, before fading from view over several weeks or months. During this interval a supernova can radiate as much energy as the Sun is expected to emit over its entire life span.[1] The explosion expels much or all of a star's material[2] at a velocity of up to 30,000 km/s (10% of the speed of light), driving a shock wave[3] into the surrounding interstellar medium. This shock wave sweeps up an expanding shell of gas and dust called a supernova remnant. Nova means "new" in Latin, referring to what appears to be a very bright new star shining in the celestial sphere; the prefix "super-" distinguishes supernovae from ordinary novae which are far less luminous. How to Convert a Computer ATX Power Supply to a Lab Power Supply Edit Article Edited by Abizarl, Krystle C., Jack Herrick, Vertent and 42 others Computer power supplies cost around US$30, but lab power supplies can run you $100 or more! By converting the cheap (free) ATX power supplies that can be found in any discarded computer, you can get a phenomenal lab power supply with huge current outputs, short circuit protection, and reasonably tight voltage regulation on the 5V line. On most power supply units (PSUs), the other lines are unregulated. Ad Steps 1Look online or at your local computer store for an ATX computer power supply, or dismantle an old computer and remove the power supply from the case.Ad 2Unplug the power cable from the power supply and turn off the switch on the back (if there is one). 13 Plug the power cable into the back of the power supply and into an AC socket. Tips You can use your power supply 12V output as a car battery charger! Warnings If you suspect the power supply is damaged, do not use it!
Star For at least a portion of its life, a star shines due to thermonuclear fusion of hydrogen into helium in its core, releasing energy that traverses the star's interior and then radiates into outer space. Once the hydrogen in the core of a star is nearly exhausted, almost all naturally occurring elements heavier than helium are created by stellar nucleosynthesis during the star's lifetime and, for some stars, by supernova nucleosynthesis when it explodes. Near the end of its life, a star can also contain degenerate matter. Astronomers can determine the mass, age, metallicity (chemical composition), and many other properties of a star by observing its motion through space, luminosity, and spectrum respectively. The total mass of a star is the principal determinant of its evolution and eventual fate. Other characteristics of a star, including diameter and temperature, change over its life, while the star's environment affects its rotation and movement. Observation history
Beauty Of Nature: 100 Brilliant Examples Of Bird Photography Bird photography is one of the most challenging types of nature photography, but remains an incredibly popular hobby for many people. The subject is usually small, may not stay still, moves rapidly from branch to branch, sits in less than favourable lighting conditions and is extremely aware of an approaching photographer. Tricky! Examples and Inspiration Tips & Resources for Bird Photography Practice on Your Pet! Home is where the heart is, and there’s certainly something to be said for starting out photographing your own pet. Let Nature Come to You Keep your distance, stay still, and play the waiting game. Think ..."Some time ago I received a call from a colleague. He was about to give a student a zero for his answer to a physics question, while the student claimed a perfect score. The instructor and the student agreed to an impartial arbiter, and I was selected. The student had answered, "Take the barometer to the top of the building, attach a long rope to it, lower it to the street, and then bring the rope up, measuring the length of the rope. The student really had a strong case for full credit since he had really answered the question completely and correctly! I suggested that the student have another try. In the next minute, he dashed off his answer which read: "Take the barometer to the top of the building and lean over the edge of the roof. At this point, I asked my colleague if he would give up. "Well," said the student, "there are many ways of getting the height of a tall building with the aid of a barometer. "Fine," I said, "and others?" "A very direct method." "Of course.
