Are there any more examples of well designed headstones? More info on Peter Saville and Ben Kelly’s memorial (photographed by Jan Chlebik) to Tony Wilson on the CR blog. Books That Will Inspire You to Be a Better Person in 2013 The holiday season is traditionally a time for charity and warm fuzzy feelings, but sometimes we need a little extra inspiration. That is, a captivating read that will also make us want to be a better person — whether because of the sterling example of a character, some choice lines of world-wisdom, or something a little more nebulous. After the jump, try out ten books that will inspire your better self to make an appearance — we’ve veered away from self-help books of any kind, though we’ve allowed for a mix of fiction and non – and let us know if we missed your personal go-to good-guy read in the comments. I've selected five versions of darkness from the capital "C" canon. It is neither exhaustive, nor definitive, but at least shows, I hope, how marbled and ambiguous darkness is. 1.

The artist is in. Now playing Alexa Meade takes an innovative approach to art. Not for her a life of sketching and stretching canvases. Instead, she selects a topic and then paints it—literally. She covers everything in a scene—people, chairs, food, you name it—in a mask of paint that mimics what's below it. Creative BlogCreative Blog By looking at the work of Eiko Ojala I began to feel a smell of paper and glue that I remembered from crafts classes at school. Of course, our works were never as complex as his and also were not the subject of female characters scantily clothed … or not. The biggest achievement of ours was to be exposed to your work pane classroom, while Eiko is proud of his work that is presented in journal or book covers of known authors in Estonia. Enjoy!

Existentialism [Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy] Existentialism is a catch-all term for those philosophers who consider the nature of the human condition as a key philosophical problem and who share the view that this problem is best addressed through ontology. This very broad definition will be clarified by discussing seven key themes that existentialist thinkers address. Those philosophers considered existentialists are mostly from the continent of Europe, and date from the 19th and 20th centuries.
