Yes/No? Tattoos are quiet, inspiring artwork that carry stories and hide secrets on a human canvas. It’s been said that wrist tattoos were used to ward off all sorts of illnesses and diseases. But today, many see wrist tattoos as simple inspirations as they brave through stormy weather – a glance at their wrists and hope fuels them. Each one is born with a thought and a tale, memorable and vivid enough to be inked in eternity. Upside down or not, be cool. All images from We Heart It.
on Tumblr In a small cabin built from a shipwrecked fishing vessel on South Patagonia’s Lake O’Higgins lives a cattle herder whose quiet life has become a legend. Amidst the region’s peaking fjords and flooded valleys, 81-year-old Faustino Barrientos has lived in complete solitude for 47 years with little to no interaction with outsiders other than his small cattle of sheep and cow. He, himself, is a mysterious man who keeps his secrets in solitude — reminiscent of The Old Man and the Sea. Yet his name and reputation for being a modern-day gaucho (the original Chilean cowboy) is widely known in the nearby villages. From the looks of his backyard, we can see the temptation of such self-imposed isolation. For four days, four Vice reporters took their cameras (and impressive North Face gear) to interrupt Faustino’s humble bunker to experience the quiet life of the gaucho. Collected Quotes from Albert Einstein - StumbleUpon [Note: This list of Einstein quotes was being forwarded around the Internet in e-mail, so I decided to put it on my web page. I'm afraid I can't vouch for its authenticity, tell you where it came from, who compiled the list, who Kevin Harris is, or anything like that. Still, the quotes are interesting and enlightening.] "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction." "Imagination is more important than knowledge."
