Watch the Mashup You Wait for Every Year: 25 of 2012's Best Songs The sixth video in the annual "United State of Pop" mashup series from Jordan Roseman — a laptop-based music maker better known as DJ Earworm — has arrived ahead of schedule. The mashup, "Shine Brighter," combines 25 of the year's hottest songs based on Billboard rankings. DJ Earworm's mashups typically come out on Christmas Day, but he released this one early because other people's mashups were starting to surface. Lyrics from Katy Perry's "Wide Awake" and Rihanna's "Diamonds" are heavily infused in the mashup, while Kesha's "Die Young" serves as a major backing track.
