Those predictions come as Transcendence grossed only $850K on Thursday.

Handcrafted for the acclaimed HBO series Boardwalk Empire, which premiered last month to rave reviews, it is the largest outdoor set ever built in New York. It is also the hub of one of the most lucrative productions the city has hosted. During filming of this year's episodes, which wrapped up in May, hundreds of cast, crew and extras swarmed around the faux boardwalk, while 40 makeup people and hairstylists and 20 costumers busied themselves making sure that each character looked the part and fit the era. “We are the biggest production of the season,” says Joe Iberti, co-producer of the show. “In terms of scale and the number of people employed, it's on the level of a Law & Order and is probably even bigger.”
