In reality, good content curation isn't as simple as pushing a share button. It's actually a combination of finding great content and following some simple best practices on how to successfully share that content. When introducing your iPods/iPads to your new class, you do not want to overwhelm them with 100 different apps. While I believe learning games have a time and a place in school, they should not be the only focus of iPod/iPad use in your classroom. Will this app promote creativity? Begin by selecting no more than 12 apps to start off your school year. Here is the list of apps I begin my year with: SimpleMind+: Simple mind is a mind mapping app that I use in all content areas for brainstorming ideas. Evernote: I use Evernote for my students to create writing pieces for the writing block, response to literature, and math journaling. DoodleBuddy: DoodleBuddy is used as a personal whiteboard to demonstrate learning. SonicPics: I use SonicPics so students can effectively communicate their learning and/or comprehension.

As we grow older and mature, we learn new skills associated with work and hobbies. We become better communicators and deepen our social bonds. If you have ever wanted to tackle a new field, there are plenty of online resources for you to check out. 1. I have learned a lot from the speakers who have participated in TED. 2. This is the other big player in town. 3. Free online courses from top instructors, it is just like being in class again. 4. This is a paid option, but it comes highly recommend from my friends in design and development. This is another free option, but the teachers are knowledgeable users who design their own courses. 6. Redditors have put their collective knowledge to work at Reddit University. 7. There are many great channels on YouTube that teach about almost any subject. 8.
