GAMAR > Inici El gabinet GAMAR és un espai de reflexió i de pràctica entorn de l'ensenyament de les matemàtiques a l'escola en les etapes infantil, primària, i 1r cicle de secundària. Ha estat creat a partir de la dotació del Premi Jaume Vicens Vives a la Docència Universitària, de la Generalitat de Catalunya, l'any 2001, a M. Antònia Canals, professora emèrita de la Universitat de Girona. El seu nom significa Gabinet de Materials i de Recerca per a la Matemàtica a l'Escola. Des del principi ha estat reconegut com a tal, per a la UdG, i des del 2004 disposa d'un estatut jurídic, que ha anat adoptant diverses formes i ha estat aprovat definitivament el 19 de juliol de 2010, com a "estructura de recerca" directament vinculada al Rectorat, amb la ubicació definitiva a la Biblioteca del Barri Vell, de la qual ha passat a formar part com un nou tipus de centre de documentació i assessorament per als professionals de l'educació matemàtica.
