As luck would have it, his air conditioning had broken down only two days earlier and despite having all the windows open, the heat was simply excruciating. As the inspector sipped on some of the water that he brought for the trip, the thought that he may have somehow missed his destination was beginning to penetrate his mind. Just as he was about to turn around and head back, a small sign appeared that read “Ross Expeditions Here”. Team Sports Flashcards These sports flashcards are jam-packed with action vocabulary. There are a lot of cards so you may wish to pick and choose what vocabulary or sports you want to cover. I tried to avoid overly technical vocabulary and concentrate on words that convey action in sports. Some terms covered are: A basketball player passing the ball. A soccer player heading the ball. A goalie making a save. A referee calling a penalty. A volleyball player diving for the ball. A hockey player skating with the puck. A baseball player striking out. A football player scoring a touchdown. You can use the game Fish or memory to practice this game. A simple version of fish goes likes this: A: Do you have a basketball player passing the ball? B: Yes, I do. (Or No, I don't. If the answer was yes, B gives the card to A and A gets a point. A more complicated version of fish goes like this: A: Do you enjoy playing basketball? B: (Check to see if he or she has any basketball cards). If the answer was yes: (Or No, I don't.
