The Burning House Fri, 02/03/2012 Drive By :: MindShift Gear Rotation180º Backpack We touched on the Rotation180º backpack very briefly in the Week In Review (8 December) but we thought it deserved further attention, since it’s a pretty creative idea that has a lot to offer photographers. We haven’t played with this in person yet, but we have spent far too long scoping it online. The pack has been created by MindShift Gear and is aimed in particular at outdoor photographers who are tired of having to take their backpacks off every time they want access to their camera gear. Integrated into the backpack is a waist-pack that can be rotated out of the bottom half of the backpack all the way to the front of the body. The waist-pack can be removed from the rest of the backpack and used by itself. All the usual pack pocketing is there, including a dedicated hydration pocket that is separated from the other contents of the pack (it holds bladders up to 3 liters in volume). Issues we can see?

AustriAlpin – The world’s highest quality safety hardware for military, SAR, fall-stop, para-sport, and mountaineering Zombie Squad • View topic - Paracord Handle Wrapping Tutorial First, I want to make it clear that I am not an expert, not even close, just a guy who played with some rope and figured out how to wrap a handle. With that said, let me also be clear that this tutorial is intended for a reasonably logical person with at least some critical thinking skills, i.e. “If I pull this, then this will happen.” I will take it through in the least number of steps possible while still conveying what I believe to be a clear depiction of how to make a neatly wrapped paracord handle for your (blank). Let me begin by giving a few pointers:1.) Expect to rewrap your handle at least once, because you will either have too much cord or too little. Let’s get started.1.) Take one end of your cord and hold it at the bottom of your handle. Pinch the cord against the bottom of the handle and extend the loose, long side of the cord toward the top of the handle. Bring it through enough that it will hold itself in place while you continue wrapping. THIS IS THE HARD PART. 4.) 5.)

EDC Items.com petescully Bag Blog E.D.C. Central Blog Super Skeleton | Responsive, Minimal, Beautiful… for WordPress Cilo Gear 20L Worksack Review cilogear.comLikes The Cilo Gear 20L Worksack is a no-frills, minimalist pack for climbers of all types. The Worksack is the second lightest pack we tested, at 330g/11.6 oz. It also has the largest volume, compresses down super small, and climbs incredibly well (it was designed specifically as a leader’s pack). The body of the worksack is made of a 70 denier cordura laminated in a five ply sandwich with dacron X-Pac (for increased stiffness and resilience), and the bottom of the pack is made of 210 denier cordura with the same X-Pac material (If it’s not clear from the name, the X’s you see in the pack material is the X-Pac layer). Every aspect of this pack is designed with climbing (specifically alpine-style climbing) in mind. The most unique aspect of this pack is its D-clip compression and storage system, which is completely customizable as well as removable (if weight is an issue). This pack is also the only pack in the review that was produced in the U.S. Credit: Max Neale
