My current job I work for Luv2MeetU a friendship and dating agency for adults with learning disabilities. Luv2MeetU is part of the larger charity hft trust, which provides a variety of services to people with a learning disability. Getting involved with Leeds RAG Previously, I had volunteered with Leeds RAG, organising various events such as hitchhikes to Munich and Marrakech. Working at Barnodo’s A big part of my work experience before graduating from Leeds University was becoming an intern at Barnado’s for three months. I worked closely with two community fundraising volunteer managers throughout my time at Barnardo’s and got to see a completely different side to a major charity. Zebulon Pike - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia In 1810 Pike published an account of his expeditions, a book so popular that it was translated into French, German and Dutch for publication in Europe. He later achieved the rank of brigadier general in the Army, serving during the War of 1812. He was killed during the Battle of York, which the United States won. Early and family life[edit] Early life and education[edit] Pike was born during the Revolutionary War on January 5, 1779 near Lamberton (derived from the Indian pronunciation "Alamatunk"),[2][3] now called Lamington,[4] in Somerset County, New Jersey. The younger Pike grew to adulthood with his family at a series of outposts in Ohio and Illinois – the United States' northwestern frontier at the time. Ancestry[edit] Marriage and family[edit] Zebulon Pike Jr. married Clarissa Harlow Brown in 1801.[6] They had one child who survived to adulthood, a daughter, Clarissa Brown Pike, who later married John Cleves Symmes Harrison, a son of President William Henry Harrison.
