List of unusual deaths This is a list of unusual deaths. This list includes unique or extremely rare circumstances of death recorded throughout history, noted as being unusual by multiple sources. Some of the deaths are mythological or are considered to be unsubstantiated by contemporary researchers. Oxford Dictionaries defines the word "unusual" as "not habitually or commonly occurring or done" and "remarkable or interesting because different from or better than others. Some other articles also cover deaths that might be considered unusual or ironic, including List of entertainers who died during a performance, List of inventors killed by their own inventions, List of association footballers who died while playing, List of professional cyclists who died during a race and the List of political self-immolations. Download useful, free GIMP plugins GIMP, the free and open-source image editor, is often blamed for its lack of polish in its interface. However, with sufficient addons (particularly plugins), you can achieve a lot of functionality found in other editors. Our previous GIMP plugins post looked at best plugins for web design, photography etc. In this second roundup, we will take a look at plugins that bring Photoshop’s features to GIMP. This is significant, because GIMP typically draws a lot of flack for not having many of Photoshop’s functionality. You might also want to read our previous posts on GIMP: These are GIMP 2.6 -compatible and tested plugins, but they would likely work for older versions too. Wavelet Denoise: Reduce noise in each channel of an image separately GREYCstoration: Removes grains or small artefacts (JPEG blocks effect) from images. Liquid Rescale: Brings Photoshop’s content aware scaling to GIMP. Image Subdivide Image subdivide: Divide image into specified number of rows and columns and save any part.

Tor Lillqvist--PSPI: Running Photoshop plug-ins in GIMP PSPI is a GIMP plug-in that runs 3rd-party Photoshop plug-in filters. I wrote it in 2001, and it initially worked on Windows only. Then nothing much happened until March 2006 when it became available also on Linux. All that was needed, basically, was for somebody to try building it using winegcc. Where to find Photoshop plug-in filters that are any good? Google is your friend. There are some exceptions though. Some magazines that come with "cover" CD-ROMs, like Computer Arts, often include commercial Photoshop filters on the CD-ROMs. Photoshop plug-in filters (for the Windows version of Photoshop, which is what we are talking about here) are actually (32-bit) Windows DLLs, which are dynamically loaded into the plug-in host process's address space. Unlike GIMP plug-ins, 3rd-party Photoshop plug-ins don't use any common user interface library. Windows The Windows package includes just pspi.exe. Linux The Linux packages include three files: 64-bit Linux ldd pspi.exe.so Downloads
