He and I went to visit his parents for the 4th of July and I always like to bring some kind of baked good with me when we visit. Bacon and Egg Cups As you are probably well aware by now, I love cereal. I don't think I have come across a cereal that I didn't like. Now that that's taken care of, I would like to share with you a little creation I threw together to feed my hunger pains this morning. These Bacon and Egg Cups are easy to put together and take less than 30 minutes to bake. Basement Brownies Basement Brownies I love a recipe with a good story behind it. My family was recently visiting my brother and sister-in-law in beautiful Colorado. As usual with my snoopy nature, I scoured my SIL Sarah’s personal recipes with hopes of finding some new treasures to try. These Basement Brownies caught my eye! These Chocolate- Caramel brownies are called Basement Brownies because when Sarah was a little girl… she used to make them for her Dad, who used to sneak these brownies into the basement to hide them so he could have them all for himself. You’ve gotta love a recipe with only 5 ingredients. The caramels are melted with a little bit of evaporated milk to create a caramel sauce. The result is not so impressive-looking, right? The inside brownie part is slightly gooey, and there are two layers in there that can put anyone into a delightful sugar coma: one layer of melted chocolate chips and one layer of ooey caramel too. And here’s the culprit right here.

Diet Coke Brownies Now think about it...2 fabulous, delicious, (necessary) items brought together, and as impossible as it seems, made even better!!I found this recipe at Every Mile a Memory, and when I read the post I almost fell off my chair. I thought this was an impossible recipe, that it was a hoax, that it was an early April Fools day trick, but hey, I will try anything once, so.... Diet Coke Brownies 1 box fudge brownie mix ( I used the 9 x 13 pan size) 1 (12 oz.) can Diet Coke Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl dump the brownie mix in. When all of the Diet Coke has been stirred in and well incorporated the batter will be very liquid, but that's OK. Pour into a 9 x 13 pan which has been lightly coated with non-stick spray (bottom of the pan only),and bake for 30-35 minutes or as directed on the box. I have also made this recipe using the low fat boxed brownie mix, and I'm not kidding, you can't tell the difference! We love linking up with our friends at Check out their Saturday Linky Party!!!

Stay hungry, my friends. Nov 13 So, Boing Boing asked me to do a recipe for them. The only caveat is that it involve caffeine. baked kueh keria (sweet potato doughnuts) Hi All! I hope you haven't forgotten that my book launch is coming up next Saturday, 21 July from 2pm - 3 pm at Kinokuniya, Level 3 Takashimaya Shopping Centre. My official e-vite finally came last week and it's so adorable, I just have to show you what it looks like : I'm really looking forward to it and hope to meet as many of you there, as possible. The constant recipe developing, testing and tasting that has become so much a part of my life since 2008, when I started writing cookbooks and consequently, blogging about food and the careless eating I blamed on both, have finally taken a toll on my once willowy figure. You know, with all the time I spend sitting on my caboose, writing, writing, writing, you'd think it would be flat as an ironing board. Enough's enough. Does cooking, eating, thinking or writing about food, CON-STANT-LY necessarily mean that I can't sidestep the unhealthy and unflattering extra kilos? And oh my, would you just look at that crust!
