How Foundation Training Can Help You Maximize Strength and Freedom of Movement This is an older article that may not reflect Dr. Mercola’s current view on this topic. Use our search engine to find Dr. Mercola’s latest position on any health topic. By Dr. Mercola I recently learned of Dr. What is Foundation Training? Foundation Training was birthed through necessity, as Dr. “I had a blown out L4-L5 and L5-S1, and was told at 25 years old, 'Eric, you need to get surgery'... So, over the course of about four years, I did that. Foundation Training is all about your core. Key Basic Exercise: “The Founder” “My primary exercise – the Founder – the one that everybody has to learn... is an integrated movement. Every exercise that I teach lengthens the front of your body, the over-tightened, over-shortened muscles in your body; strengthens and lengthens the back of your body; puts it to its effective lengths; stands you tall; and allows your body to move as a human animal is designed to move – very powerfully, very gracefully, and with a lot of flexibility.” According to Dr.

Of course, we feel better in our bodies – less pain, greater range of motion in the joints, sleeping better, more relaxed, freer and looser overall.

About The Author My name is Daljit Kaur and I belong to Panjab, a northern state of India. Given a choice I would have preferred to be a doctor but I was destined to do post graduation in Chemistry. Thereafter I studied to become a qualified teacher. I have faced multiple health problems and I came out as a winner. My passion with yoga and my resolve to share my experiences about my yoga practice has evolved over a period of time into this website. The purpose of sharing my story with you is to motivate you to adopt yoga for better health. My Health Problems My first health problem started in April 1996 when I had to get operated for gall bladder stones. Thereafter, in Nov 03, my health deteriorated rapidly and I was bed ridden due to severe osteoporosis, ankylosing and cervical spondylitis. My Yoga Journey I was advised to do regular exercise and keep my weight in check so as to avoid further health problems. I love doing yoga and prefer eating healthy and nutritious vegetarian diet. My Passion For Yoga

Strala ME  [after 4 straight days of no yoga, bad hotel conference food, sitting, bloating, and grumpy]: “Ugh, I just need Yoga.” [caption id=”” align=”aligncenter” width=”360” caption=”Is this yoga?”][/caption] Yoga. I have a problem. I’ve just finished a week of work busy-ness, extra-long hours of sitting in conferences, listening to good speeches, listening to bad speeches, business card exchanges, and small talk, and I haven’t had time to practice my Yoga. Over the past few days, my once fluid and lithe body and mind have begun to congeal into imagined-flabbiness, irritability, and overall dysfunction. [caption id=”” align=”aligncenter” width=”440” caption=”Is this yoga?”] As much as I am a fan of the Eco, Happy, and Wellness Industry, I’m starting to become aware of a problem that I’m discovering in myself (and maybe others). How many times do you find yourself hearing or saying something like this to yourself when you haven’t gone to your favorite yoga class?
