All of them are highly skilled digital artists that use a combination of historical reference material and a natural eye for colour. When we see old photos in black and white, we sometimes forget that life back then was experienced in the same vibrant colours that surround us today. Ya les advertí que se trata de un concepto complicado, problemático, paradójico, que se aleja infinitamente del sentido común y parece contradecir a nuestra intuición. Y lo que sucede es que, básicamente, en un Universo infinito todo lo que sea posible y pueda suceder, sucederá. El llamado teorema de los infinitos monos fue planteado originalmente por el matemático Émile Borel con el propósito de mostrar la magnitud de un acontecimiento extraordinariamente improbable. Dicha obra completa consta de treinta y siete obras, más todos los poemas y sonetos, lo cual suma en total 884.429 palabras. Para probar de forma experimental el teorema de los infinitos monos se utilizó un programa de computadora que genera caracteres y palabras de manera aleatoria. Tras ejecutar el programa de manera ininterrumpida por más de una semana, se generaron más de 34 millones de caracteres.

(Max Fisher/Washington Post) The United States added three more Nobel laureates to its roster on Monday, all in economics, bringing the national total to an astounding 347 in the prize's history. That's the most of any country in the world, by far: next-highest ranked is Britain with 120 laureates. Up top is a heat map showing which countries have had the most Nobel laureates in the prize's history. Just over 1,000 Nobels have been awarded since the prize was first established in 1901. A stunning 83 percent of all Nobel laureates have come from Western countries (that means Western Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia or New Zealand). Looking at the data this way, it becomes awfully clear that people outside of Europe and North America don't win very many Nobels. Hoy le doy paso a otros tres que trabajan con papel reciclado: periódicos, postales y ¡mapas! Este artista realiza sus series de retratos haciendo collages con postales:¡No dejes de visitar su blog si quieres quedarte pasmado!. Es un artsita neoyorquino que trabaja con periódicos usados y libros viejos para realizar esculturas que a veces deja por las calles. Una especie de perrillos y personajes humanos algo feos pero en cualquier caso sorprendentes. Es un artista multidisciplinar Brasileño que entre otras muchas cosas realiza unos collagues preciosos con mapas(¡ojo al buscarlo en la red!
