Which is to say that Brown put me in the car and took me someplace where Internet access was spotty at best, and told me to sit right there near the ocean and enjoy the frenetic peace of a near-infinite expanse of water, woman! So I did. I also finished a second POV for the Shawn/Rachel Kickstarter bonus story (League Night), did some art, got some writing done on another story, and drew another comic. The Adventures of Dr. McNinja Go Get a Roomie! - Updates Monday, Wednesday, Friday - The Little One's Gifts #4-6 Gutters The phenomenon of Axe Cop is one that I’ve watched closely. I think it’s a great comic and the process behind it is fascinating. For those not in the know, Axe Cop was started by a then 29-year old Ethan Nicolle with stories and character ideas conceived by his then 5-year old brother, Malachai. It’s the kind of surreal absurdity that could only come from a child and three years later it’s still a damn fun read. Axe Cop to me illustrates one of the greatest things about making comics in the digital age: Anyone can do it. Granted, this means that there are a lot of comics out there that are, well, terrible, but I also believe that the cream rises and those who put in the time, effort and passion will find their audiences.
