John Sayers Geography Blog: Questioning The start of a new term is nearly upon us and I am going in revitalised due to a number of life changes. One aspect of getting back into the classroom and school environment is to listen to the great array of questions, challenges and responses I'll hear and be involved in. I love questioning and the potential depth to thinking it can generate. So how about a strategy. I've provided a series of pictures of a set of cards my school has provided that help provide a starting point for each of the stages of Socratic questioning so that the metaphorical ball can start rolling and as in a rolling snowball down a snow filled slope the momentum building and the ball - thinking expanding:) So what are the question Socratic circle questioning poses? It is a 6 step process: • clarify • challenge assumption • evidence for argument • viewpoints and perspectives • implications and consequences • question the question This was where I worked on a question matrix I had seen. Comment faire un nuage de mot(s) dans un mot J’ai eu une petite commande récemment qui consistait à insérer une nuage de mots dans un mot. J’ai choisi le mot AMOUR (1) pour l’exercice. 1) aller sur le site gzaas.com. Ce site est normalement fait pour envoyer des twitts. Mais je l’utilise pour fabriquer mes vignettes. On pourrait utiliser un logiciel de retouche photo quelconque et ça marcherait aussi bien, mais avec gzaas.com, on a tout de suite des énormes caractères bien utile pour l’exercice que je propose. Dans l’exercice il faut choisir, une police convenable (chewy ((2), des lettres en noir (3) et un fond blanc (4) Il faudra ensuite faire une copie d’écran. Ensuite, je lance le logiciel photoscape (liste de sites pour télécharger photoscape) et rogner la copie d’écran, puis appuyer sur Enregistrer (en bas à droite). Et voilà le résultat de l’image récupérée. Pour faire un nuage de mots plutôt sophistiqué, il faut aller sur le site htagxedo.com. D’autres essais!

Free Brand Guidelines Template | Free Logo Template for Brand Identity I decided recently to update my own template for a Brand Identity Guidelines template that is sent to clients upon completion of a project. This basically lists the ‘rules’ of consistency, so the client knows how to use their new files correctly and successfully. Simple guidelines, tips, what not to do, colour and typefaces are all essentially packaged into one PDF that they can refer to later, or pass on to another designer. A few months back Graham Smith (imjustcreative) did something nice and released a free brand guidelines template to the design community and I thought it only fair to do the same – his can be found here by the way. Living in Adobe Illustrator for my logo design services, it’s comfortable and therefore logical for my template to be illustrator-based. Please note, this is a general branding document that can be edited in terms of layout, content and arrangement of pages / sections.

If Android apps become available through a browser (a Chrome coloured Android robot has been spotted at Google HQ) then the popularity of Chromebooks would rocket.
