Tighthouse, a Passive House brownstone retrofit, sits at the end of a string of two-story buildings constructed in 1899 that share a tree-lined block with larger brownstones built around the same time, centrally located off Fifth Avenue in the neighborhood of Park Slope. It is the first certified Passive House in New York City and meets the standards for new construction, surpassing the EnerPHit certification. Remodeling Approach The unique retrofit of a 110-year-old house by the Brooklyn-based firm Fabrica 718 could serve as an important model for the many urban and suburban residences that need energy-saving renovations.

The Loog Guitar, that’s how we call it, is not a toy. So, why 3 strings? We love 6-string guitars, but we believe that they can be overwhelming for little kids and beginners. Drawing Lamp - Thomas Feichtner Die Drawing Lamp ist eine konsequent einfache Leuchte, auf das Wesentlichste wie Kabel und Leuchtmittel reduziert. Thomas Feichtner hat diese Tischleuchte für sich selbst entworfen. Wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, ist die Drawing Lamp eine Leuchte, die er bevorzugt zum Zeichnen verwendet. Zum einen kann sie den ganzen Schreibtisch ausleuchten, zum anderen kann sie das Licht – wie von Thomas Feichtner zum Skizzieren bevorzugt – auf einen Punkt am Papier fokussieren. Die Fokussierung des Lichts erfolgt jedoch nicht über eine komplexe Mechanik oder die Verstellung eines Reflektors, sondern lediglich über das Umlegen der gesamten Leuchte. Sie ist so konstruiert, dass sie in zwei unterschiedlichen Winkeln auf einem Tisch platziert werden kann. Kabel, Stahlrohr und LED-Leuchtmittel ergeben gemeinsam das Erscheinungsbild der Drawing Lamp.
