Mentimeter Review for Teachers Mentimeter helps to minimize the "death by PowerPoint" conundrum. The ability to create presentations where students ask and vote on questions, and take polls, allows teachers to involve their audience in ways that a traditional presentation can't. Letting students submit questions as you teach, using the Upvote feature as a gauge, teachers can use class time more effectively by addressing the needs of the many while still being aware of the needs of the few -- or even the one. The limitations of Events in the free version can be frustrating, but users can create multiple presentations in order to increase interaction, made easier via a one-click copy feature.

How Does Someone Become Homeless? | Wonderopolis It's been a long day at school. You've paid attention in class, worked hard on your assignments, and even done your best on a test. It's the end of the day and you look forward to going one place: home. That's right: home, sweet home. There's no place like home! But what if you didn't have a home? Although most people in the United States have homes with warm beds to sleep in each night, many people do not. In addition to lacking a home, homeless people often lack many other things, such as jobs, healthy food to eat, clothes to wear, and access to medical care. If you live in a large city, you've probably seen homeless people sleeping in public places and asking for help on street corners. Experts estimate that as many as 3.5 million people (nearly a third of them children) will probably experience homelessness in any given year. People become homeless for a variety of reasons. As the economy has slowed in recent years, poverty rates have risen dramatically.
