A travers des documents authentiques riches et variés, la visite des quartiers ou 'boroughs' de New York permet de se familiariser avec des artistes comme Lady Pink ou Daze qui expliquent les nuances entre graffiti, tagging ou encore stencils. Placés dans le rôle social d'étudiants en art concourant pour obtenir un stage au Museum of the City of New York (link is external) lors de la tâche finale, les élèves pourront montrer à quel point cette séquence leur a permis de monter en compétence en matière culturelle, artistique et langagière.
