Weed Management in conservation agriculture | TECA Conservation Agriculture (CA) is an approach to managing agro-ecosystems for improved and sustained productivity, increased profits and food security while preserving and enhancing the resource base and the environment. The three fundamental principles of CA are: (1) Direct planting of crop seeds, (2) Permanent soil cover, and (3) Crop diversity. (see: Introduction to conservation agriculture (its principles & benefits) for more details) Since soil is not tilled in conservation agriculture, the residues of commercial crops and cover crops have to be managed. Residue and cover crop management can be done either mechanically or chemically , or a combination of the two, depending on the possibilities of the farmer; the topography (sloping or flat land); the degree of weed infestation; and the stage of development of the cover crop. The self is the metaphoric construct of identity and agency, the hypothetical piece of turf on which we construct our strategies for survival, the notion around which we focus our instincts for self-preservation, our needs for self-approval, and the boundaries of our self-interest. Widening our self-interest The conventional notion of the self with which we have been raised and to which we have been conditioned by mainstream culture is being undermined. At a recent lecture on a college campus, I gave the students examples of activities which are currently being undertaken in defense of life on Earth-actions in which people risk their comfort and even their lives to protect other species. En effet, la plus part du temps, le couvert detruit atteind facile le mètre de haut, si tu le roules, il repartira pas. Accompargné aussi parfois d'un passage de glypho... Sur cette photo, tu as raison, ca s'apparente plus a une culture associée. la technique d'implantation est la meme. Ici la photo n'est pas cohérante avec l'article, mais le theme des cultures associées aurait été trop compliqué pour un simple article de journal... Je pense que tu as une partie de tes questions ici, puisque il sagissait en fait de deux tecnhiques différantes ! sinon, concernant tes questions sur les couverts, tu peut laisser libre court a ta créativité ! tu peut tout y mettre, l'interet est de faire des mélanges ! voila voila... plein d'infos sur Agricool et le site de l'AC...
