Again we see there is nothing you can possess which I cannot take away.” Solving the Rubik’s Cube puzzle popularized in the 1980s is an exercise in futility for many of us, but to a world class “speedcuber” it’s a challenge of mere moments. CubeStormer II is controlled by four Lego NXT ‘bricks’ that communicate via Bluetooth with a Samsung Galaxy SII smart phone. Both the NXT bricks and the SII smart phone feature processors made ARM, who commissioned the CubeStormer II and who will be showcasing the Lego robot at ARMTechCon 2011 in Santa Clara next week (Oct 26-27). Could You Pass This 1912 Eighth-Grade Exam? Are you smarter than an eighth grader? How about an eighth grader who graduated in 1912? A copy of an eighth-grade exam from that year shows test-taking wasn't so easy for those early-20th-century students. Bullitt County History Museum, located in Shepherdsville, Ky., received a copy of a 1912 eighth-grade exam drafted for Bullitt County Schools as a donation. The version was a likely master copy given to schools and then amended by teachers, the museum notes. One hundred years ago, schools in the rural county were scattered far and wide, according to the museum's website. David Strange, an executive director at the museum, told The Huffington Post the exam was actually given to the museum last year. "It is funny for us," Strange told HuffPost. A renewed interest in the quiz might be the difficult challenge of acing it. "It's quite a challenging test," Strange said. He knows multiple people who have tried to take the exam for fun but doesn't know their final scores.

4 Russian Travel Tips for Visiting America As an American, you can find volumes of travel books instructing you how to behave when you visit other countries—which seemingly innocent hand gestures are vulgar in Romania, for example, or how close you can stand to a Japanese businessman. But what about when foreigners visit our country? It’s not easy to find out what the non-English speaking world thinks of us, as it is another unique peculiarity of Americans that most only speak one language. But Google speaks many, even Russian. So with Google’s help, I set out to learn more about “американский этикет,” or, Russia’s take on American etiquette. 1. Short Version: Don’t worry about gifts. “Gifts: Americans do not expect them. I’d just like to say, I would love a samovar. 2. The short version: American women are a little uptight. “US etiquette prohibits flirting with a woman who is not your girlfriend or wife. It’s weird how one nation’s flirting is another nation’s motivation to use pepper spray. 3. 4.

Yop Concept The Elian Script Introduction The configuration of the Elian script consists of a formal structure (Part I,) and three basic structural principles Part II). Part I Formal Structure The formal basis of the Elian script is derived from positioning the 26 letters of the English alphabet within a nine-square grid. The letters of the alphabet are placed successively, starting at the bottom left corner of the grid at Box 1 with the letter "A", upward to Box 3, down to Box 4, up to Box 6 then down to Box 7, ending at the top right corner at Box 9. Each box of the grid has a specific linear configuration. If the alphabet only had nine letters, the form of each box could stand for a single letter. Fitting the 26 letters of the English alphabet within the nine-box grid results in assigning three letters to each box (as in a telephone grid), except for Box 9, with only two. The different letters within each box can be indicated by changing the length of the boxe's lines. Box 1 Part I Table 1 - First cycle letters .

Texts From Last Night Hundreds of people are packed into a bumping basement club in downtown Berlin, dancing for hours on end in a free-wheeling rave. The substance of choice hails from the exotic tropics. It’s said to impart a brain-boosting rush and tons of energy, enough to transform its users into raging Energizer bunnies. This drug can be ingested, drunk and even snorted. You’re probably familiar with its common name: cacao. Say, um, “hi” to the sweetest party drug there is. Never mind that this is the same raw powder you can find at the corner Vitamin Shoppe or processed in your favorite candy bar — or that cacao is perfectly legal in all the jurisdictions we found. And, of course, cacao can be downright delicious. To be clear, cacao is not going to distort your reality. If it sounds like G-rated fun, well, it is; these are parties where virtue handily wins over vice. But such events have found an audience. The use of cacao was pioneered in millennia past by Mesoamerican civilizations.

11 French Travel Tips for Visiting America The Internet is full of French travelers who've experienced the United States and have things to say about the strange ways of Americans. With the help of Google Translate, Americans can get a peek at these revelations. We know that there are no doubt many Flossers who can translate French better than Google can (though probably not as hilariously), and we welcome any additional information in the comments. 1.
