Out of the ordinary Beauty Tips that work | Cher Cabulas Mindbox - StumbleUpon Use toothpaste on yellow nails. This usually happens when you let nail polish stay on your nails for very long and when you’ve used cheap nail polish. Whiten them all up by rubbing toothpaste to remove the stains. Use suntan oil to treat damaged hair. Treat burns with milk. Powder Your Roots If by any chance you have no chance to jump into the shower and you need to look your best. Cure Calluses with Vaseline or petroleum jelly It’s very unsightly to see hard calluses on your feet especially when you’ve been wearing closed shoes for a long time. Spot-Treat Smudges I find cotton tips very usual for this. Super-Glue a Nail Yikes! Buff with Baking Soda I’ve laughed at that episode in Friends when Ross went to a self-tanning sauna and got disastrous results. Use Toothpaste on a Zit Use just a pea-size amount. Use Soap Without Water You know those fancy bars that are actually too pretty to use? Shave with Conditioner If you’ve ran out of shaving cream, you can use conditioner instead.

Katniss Braid DIY So I totally nerded out and saw midnight showing of the Hunger Games with some friends on Thursday. It was awwwsomme! I know some of you guys did too, admit it. I tried my best to dress up, I was by no means as prepared as Manzanita with her Hunger Games screen print DIY, but I was rather proud of my Katniss braid if I do say so myself. I got the idea form this article at Refinery 29. Happy Hunger Games! Sea of Shoes: HAIR HOW-TO - StumbleUpon I am sometimes asked how I style my hair, and while my method is far from perfect, I thought I'd show you how! My hair is pretty straight and fine naturally and I always let it air dry. Since I go about three days between washes, I like to curl it on the first day and let it mellow out into some nice waves over the next two. Let's get started! If your hair doesn't hold curl very well then you may want to put a palmful of curling mousse in it when it is halfway dry. First I comb out all of the tangles and apply a liberal amount CHI Iron Guard Protection Spray to prep my hair. (though I want to upgrade to one of the fancy new ones from Sultra soon!) When I'm done curling the bottom section, I mist it with Bumble and bumble Spray de Mode and comb through the curl with my fingers. Ahh!! If you want to dress it up a little, you can do a braided headband look! Find a spot on the opposite side of your head and pin it so that it blends in naturally with the rest of your hairstyle.

Heart Break Kids - Blog - How to make a&tutu Today I am going to teach you how I make a tutu. Here are the supplies that you will need: 1/2" elastic (I prefer the braided elastic)6" spools of tulle (found in any craft store, sometimes in the bridal section)1 yard of double faced satin ribbon (optional)needle and threadlarge book First, get your princess's waist measurement. My daughter is two, and her waist is just shy of 20". Set your elastic aside, and get ready to cut your tulle. Ten inches is the standard length that I use when making a tutu. I am just noticing that it is a bit hard to see the orange tulle that I am cutting in this picture. Once you are done cutting, you are ready to start tying. find the middle slide the tulle under the elastic start your slip knot pull the ends through pull the ends down (this is a loose knot) this is what the loose knots for a play tutu should look like this is a tight knot these are what your knots should look like for a fluffier tutu Finally, I like to add a ribbon to my tutus. Zip-up Earbuds & LauPre - StumbleUpon I love to have my music with me everywhere I go, but I hate the tangled mess my wires become when I toss them in my bag or pocket. Last night I whipped up a fun and functional solution by adding a zipper to my earbuds. This project took me around an hour to do (perfect for catching up on some t.v. from hulu.com). The first step is to pull the earbuds apart, to separate the wires all the way down to the plug. Next, take one side of your headphones and one side of the zipper tape and start stitching the wire into the tape. It’s as easy as that! Then unzip them to the length I want and put them on so much faster than having to untangle the mess!
