One of our family Easter traditions is dying eggs with pieces of silk. I saw a cute lady show Martha how to do it a few years ago and I ran upstairs right then to steal a tie! Here’s the run-down: You need 100% silk for this to work. I try to find an assortment of colors and patterns. Usually it will tell you if it’s 100% silk right on the main label of the tie, but a lot of them don’t, and if that’s the case, check that little tiny end, it’s usually hiding there. The first step is to deconstruct the tie. Next you cut a piece large enough to cover an egg. Now, notice how I tied the eggs in the above photo- with the tie on the top of the long side of the egg. However, if you want the best part of the design on the wide side of the egg, you’ll want to wrap them horizontally, like this: Just wrap them as smoothly and tightly as you can for the best transfer. Gorgeous. Love it?

Magazine - Taste it. • Sabina Kelley Put up your dukes. International model sensation Sabina Kelley is ready to take you hostage with her switchblade stilettos. One part Bettie Page, another part centerfold, Sabina is outlasting trends that lay beaten and bludgeoned at her feet. You are a formally trained ballet dancer and a former Vegas showgirl. Hell ya! We think you would too. I discovered the world of burlesque with my love for pinups. As a modern pinup, you’ve really carved out a unique niche for yourself by being one of the first to really put a rockabilly tattooed twist on a Bettie Paige style. I think maybe in a way, but I was not intentionally doing that. There’s been some debate with photographers that we’ve talked to that the communities like SucideGirls and GodsGirls are a fading trend. I’m not part of SuicideGirls or GodsGirls, but I do agree that SuicideGirls and GodsGirls are fads. You and Anne Lindfjeld were recently featured in Playboy together. Switchblade Stilettos is the name of your site.

It looks like something from the movie "Avatar": ocean waters that light up like neon glow sticks when they splash. Beaches across southern California have recently been alight with eerie, glowing waves. What could be causing such an otherworldly phenomenon? A recent report by Discovery News has provided an answer. According to marine biologist Jorge Ribas, the glowing is caused by a massive red tide, or algae bloom, of bioluminescent phytoplankton called Lingulodinium polyedrum. The microorganisms emit light in response to stress, such as when a wave crashes into the shore, a surfboard slashes through the surf, or a kayaker's paddle splashes the water. The phenomenon has been observed on a semi-regular basis since at least 1901 along the beaches around San Diego, Calif. For surfers who don't mind catching a wave in water teeming with a sludge of microorganisms, the glowing ocean offers the chance of a lifetime.

These tattoos are made with a special ink which becomes visible under a black light, though the tattoo itself is invisible in regular light. In the last decade these tattoos have become popular among party-goers as they are readily visible at parties where a black light may be used. The tattoos placed with UV ink are invisible in regular light, but become visible under black light. The black light causes the UV ink to light up in different colors.
