It also emerged the average couple consider 12 names before selecting their favourite, but a quarter do not make their final decision until after the baby is born. The report, commissioned among 3,000 parents by Bounty Parenting Club, also disclosed that a third of couples fall out over their newborn's name. Faye Mingo, spokeswoman for Bounty, said: ''The name game is a debate which often lasts the whole nine months of the pregnancy and causes the most upsets as couples fail to agree on the best name for their new born. ''It's understandably one of the hardest decisions mum and dad will ever have to make – largely because we do judge a person by their name before we've even got to know them. ''All things considered it's unsurprising that something as important as choosing a name leads to a lot of heated discussion.'' Source: The Daily Telegraph Do you like your name?
Nifty 50s have more fun than people half their age - SouthAsiaNews.com London, Sep 20 (ANI): A new study has found that the typical nifty 50 is more sociable, happy and active than most 25-year-olds. They also manage to pack in three weekends away during the course of a year. Twenty-somethings only manage one evening out a week, catch up with three friends and take two short breaks. Those in their 50s certainly know how to live life to the full, the Daily Express quoted a spokesman for Benenden Healthcare, which commissioned the poll said, as saying. The modern 50-year-old spends more time than ever on things that boost their contentment and with life expectancy rising all the time, being middle-aged is no longer a precursor to winding down. Even Baron said that she had merely repeated “gossip” without checking it. “It was a kind of joke,” the Times quoted her as saying.
