TrackBack
7 Fake Movies We Wish Were Real In a little over a month, the movie Machete will be hitting theaters. For those of you who don’t know, this movie originally started out as one of the fake trailers in the Grindhouse double feature released by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. However, the fake trailer was such a hit that fans demanded it be turned into a real movie. And soon, they’ll finally see their wish come true. It got us thinking. 1. “Saw meets Godfather II” is how Christopher described his idea for Cleaver. The Sopranos writers took this fake movie storyline pretty far, producing an 8-minute making of Cleaver with behind the scenes footage for the “movie” starring Daniel Baldwin. 2. This fictional film is referenced several times throughout the Seinfeld series. 3. Let’s stay in the Seinfeld universe for another moment and visit another fake film that gets referenced throughout the series. 4. This is a fictional script written by Charlie Kaufman’s twin brother in the movie Adaptation. 5. 6. 7.
Split Family Faces Cousins: Justine, 29, & Ulric, 29 How much do you and your family members really look alike? Quebec, Canada-based graphic designer and photographer Ulric Collette has created a shockingly cool project where he's exploring the genetic similarities between different members of the same family. By splitting their faces in half and then splicing them together, he creates interesting new people that are sometimes quite normal looking and other times far from it. (Did you notice that Ulric, the photographer, is one-half of some of these pairings? Update 1: We got in touch with Ulric to ask him a few questions about this really intriguing series (that just happened to go viral). Update 2: What happened after Split Family Faces went viral?
