Showing image 1 of 1 Según publica hoy el MCU , la edición electrónica en España se incrementó un 64,7% en 2010 respecto al año anterior, y supone el 15,4% de la edición global (papel y otros soportes). “Lo que demuestran las encuestas es que desde la aparición de la tinta electrónica y la venta de sus dispositivos de lectura, se ha incrementado exponencialmente el número de personas que los utilizan. Además, ha crecido la oferta editorial, fundamental para este consumo”, explica a SINC José Antonio Cordón, investigador de la Facultad de Traducción y Documentación de la Universidad de Salamanca (USAL). En el caso de EEUU, entre enero y agosto de 2010 las ventas de libros electrónicos se incrementaron en un 193% con respecto al mismo período del año anterior, lo que supuso el 9% del total de las ventas para esos meses, (en todo 2009 tan solo llegó al 3,31%), según indica la Asociación de Editores Americanos (AAP). Again the iPad. You might have noticed a surge in posts about iPad apps here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning. This is not because I favour iPad over other tablets but because of the huge number of emails I got from readers asking for apps that work on the iPad. I personally love both iOS and Android systems and am familiar with both of them. 10 Free Reading Tests for Students in Grades 5 Through 9
Introduction As noted above, I am offering 10 free reading tests on this page. All of them are short--students can complete them in about 15 minutes or so. Once everyone is finished, papers can be exchanged, checked, and returned for instant feedback. This allows time for students to ask questions about items they missed or to find out why their own answers were incorrect. A second advantage is that all of these tests can be copied one per page--a savings in copier paper. Please note, however, that a few of them DO have a second page. In the very near future, I will be adding several reading tests that are longer--students will need the majority of a standard class period to complete them. However, these longer tests are more thorough and include a larger scope of reading skills than the shorter tests. All these tests feature either high-interest and/or informative reading passages. Please feel free to use any or all of these tests in whatever way best suits your needs. Here are the tests.
