Parmi ceux-ci, l’animation a pris une place importante, dans la mesure où chacun s’accorde à dire que le changement de nos comportements ne pourra advenir sans une ambitieuse politique éducative. La demande sociale en Education à l’Environnement et au Développement Durable se confirme ainsi un peu plus tous les ans. En réponse à cette demande, l’offre de prestations « commerciales » et les structures associatives proposant des actions d’EEDD se sont développées. Les collectivités publiques n’échappent pas à ce phénomène ; elles sont nombreuses aujourd’hui à réaliser ou commander des actions de sensibilisation ou d’éducation à l’environnement soit pour venir en appui à des politiques publiques, soit dans une optique de développement économique d’un territoire.
