Deep Fried Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough…

Cinnamon Toast Rolls The USDA released its new food pyramid the other day (which is actually a plate now instead of a pyramid), and I am sorely disappointed to report that cinnamon rolls did not appear anywhere on that plate. I think by now most of us know what should be on our dinner plate in terms of healthy, well-rounded nutrient-laden meals, but it is my considered opinion that our breakfast plate should include cinnamon rolls now and then. And not just any cinnamon roll, mind you, but how ‘bout a homemade cinnamon roll hybrid that is a cross between a cinnamon roll and cinnamon toast, is super easy to make and gosh darn delicious. In honor of their ancestry, I call these little gems cinnamon toast rolls, and here’s all you need to make them… Yep. Trim the crusts off of the bread Roll the bread really flat Brush both sides of the bread with butter Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar Roll in any fashion you like (I’ve also folded them into little triangles) Cinnamon Toast Rolls Click here for a printable recipe

The Brownie That Will Change Your Life - StumbleUpon Let me start off by saying that viewer discretion is advised for today’s post. OK now with the story that preludes possibly the greatest brownie I have ever sunk my teeth in thus far in my life. Last Saturday Mrs. Zesty had a baby shower to attend and she was designated for a dessert/sweet treat for the girls. I knew time was tight and I didn’t want to spend all night Friday night to prep a dessert. Strawberry-Yogurt Mousse Cakes: Grace's Sweet Life Italian Cakes Posted by Grace Massa Langlois on Thursday, 2nd June 2011 With the warm weather finally here all I can think about is summer entertaining and this simple Italian Dessert, Torta di Fragole e Crema Soffice di Yogurt is the perfect ending to a summer barbecue. Not only is it light and creamy but also cold and refreshing. It’s also the perfect canvas in which to highlight seasonal berries. I’ve prepared the Torta allo Yogurt with strawberries today but the strawberries can easily be substituted with raspberries, blueberries or blackberries. I was excited to see the pool company at the house this morning, the pool is officially opened and the season for entertaining has begun. It’s time to dust of the ice cream maker and start experimenting once again with flavour combinations. I’ve never been a huge yogurt fan but I do enjoy using it in desserts. I like recipes like this one for Torta allo Yogurt because it’s so versatile. And of course the possibilities for the crumb base are endless.

Kit Kat Bars Recipe These homemade kit kat bars are supposed to taste like the popular candy bar of the same name. They do have the nice chocolatey crunch of a Kit Kat candy bar, but these bars have more of a salty-sweet flavor than the candy bar. The kids tell me they like the taste of these bars even better. Belgian Raspberry Brownies with Truffle Ganache I get the urge to put beer in almost everything I make, and it's becoming a problem. The roots of this problem are difficult to trace. Perhaps the urge began when I turned twenty one, and buying beer and wine was liberating. Maybe I purchased too much one time, decided to use it in cooking, and became accustomed to the flavor.Maybe it's my German heritage that's speaking to me; my Bavarian blood is craving malted barley and hops. (Along with Spätzle and Schnitzel) Or it could be other factors. All I know is that I have a slight obsession in cooking with beer. If you have some hesitations about making these, let me try to convince you otherwise. I rest my case.
