Algunos opinan que como sólo supondrá unos céntimos más (en los libros digitales de 3 € o menos) no tendría que afectar a las ventas, y que quizá obligue a los editores a absorber el alza para no tocar los precios actuales de los ebooks más caros. Yo creo que hay que verlo desde un punto de vista conceptual: el problema no está en que el IVA del libro digital se mantenga en el 18% o suba al 21%, el problema está en el el IVA del libro digital no se equipare al del libro impreso. Porque si un 3% más de diferencia respecto al actual IVA no alterará sustancialmente los precios, un 17% menos (si se equiparara al 4%) podría suponer un cambio altamente beneficioso.
