Incorporate 2D art with 3D rendered imagery We’ve all come up against tight deadlines in the past. Knowing some vital time-saving methods is a definite bonus, especially when creating illustrative pieces for the advertisement industry. In this tutorial I’ll show you how to mix 2D artwork with 3D rendered imagery to create a photorealistic 3D object in 3ds Max. Along the way, I’ll share some handy tips and techniques that you can use to avoid unnecessary steps, enabling you to enjoy the whole creative process and produce a high-quality promotional piece for your portfolio. If you don't already have them you'll need to grab trial versions of 3ds Max and KeyShot. 01 Start with a spline and model the outer cross-section of the bottle, minus the lid thread, making sure that the central vertex at the base of the bottle is at 0 on the X axis. 02 Create a new plane 9 polygons high and 32 polygons across (the same amount as the Lathe segments). 03 Select a row of polygons and extrude them to create the thread.

Este espacio fue inaugurado en el 2013 para proveer ajóvenes artistas una plataforma para exhibir su trabajo en Bogotá. Aun cuando SKETCH se especializa en la gráfica y el dibujo, la sala de proyectos esta abierta a mostrar diversos procesos y medios de producción actuales. Un mueble demadera de gran escala fue construido para este espacio, por la firma de arquitectura Pinyol estudio. Elmueble de 5,80 x 2,10 metros tiene un sistema de repisas que puede ser abierto y cerrado, manipulado a distintos ángulos, dando a los artistas la posibilidad de visibilizar su trabajo en una estructura flexible y un espacio dinámico.
