8 hair care treatments you can make yourself
Eggs, yogurt and honey are, at first glance, all components of a tasty breakfast — but they also happen to be hair treatment ingredients, and affordable, all-natural ones at that. And they're not the only ones. Did you know, for instance, that the oils in avocados more closely resemble our own skin's oils than any product in the beauty aisle does? Or that the mild acidity in lemon is an effective — and gentler — alternative to chemical-laden products? Next time your locks need a lift, save money by using one of these kitchen fixes. For all hair types "The [raw] egg is really the best of all worlds," says Janice Cox, author of "Natural Beauty at Home". To use: For normal hair, use the entire egg to condition hair; use egg whites only to treat oily hair; use egg yolks only to moisturize dry, brittle hair, Cox says. 'Orbit' Waterless Washing Machine
It is truly the washing machine of the Jetsons’ era. Only in a concept design phase, this waterless, soapless, noiseless washing machine uses dry ice to clean up your dirty clothes. The Orbit was designed by Elie Ahovi in 2010 for the Electrolux Design Lab to show how doing laundry could look in 2050. Orbit is a self-sufficient washing machine that powers itself with liquid nitrogen and would clean clothes using frozen carbon dioxide. According to Ahovi’s website, the ring in which the laundry ball is placed holds batteries, which are recharged while the machine is in use. (Image: Elie Ahovi) (Photo: Elie Ahovi) In what Ahovi describes as “cryogenic cleaning”, the dry ice will be “fired at supersonic velocity” at the garments cleaning them without damaging the fabric. What do you think?
Fitness Advice, Workout Videos, Health & Fitness | Bodyrock.tv
Hi BodyRockers, Today Freddy and I are starting to pack for our move and we are crazy busy. With everything that we have to do today, I didn’t have time for a full workout, but don’t worry because I put together this savage little 6 minute full body routine that will rock you out. I think that it is always better to do something than to skip your training completely, and this workout may come in a small package, but as you can see in the video, if you are pushing it at your max effort – full throttle – you won’t have anything left after 6 minutes. This is a perfect solution if you find yourself really busy and pressed for time – and you can also extend the torture by doing this 2 times back to back. As I said tho, the real test of your effort is that by the end of the 6 minutes you should be tapped out. Freddy & I will be back this weekend with new BodyRockers, a new diet challenge and possibly a life post if we actually do anything interesting besides packing! Enjoy your training!
How to Design the Perfect Business Card
In this post, we’ll discuss how a thoughtful, well-designed business card can help your company give a good first impression and send the right message. We’ll look at elements to include in your design and the different approaches to take. We often hear of the importance of first impressions in both our professional and personal lives. In business, the first impression we make on potential clients and other professionals can affect how much business we get. If we fail to dazzle in the first meeting, we might not be attending the follow-up meeting in which we could raise the bar. Also, we tend to forget that first impressions often begin with a business card. Blink Airbrushing Business Card by Katerina Vourgos Business cards convey the potential of all branded professionals-especially designers-and you should remember that when designing them.
