It was first founded in 1999 as Goregaoker Architects, a partnership firm of Rajan & Sachin Goregaoker. Rajan & Sachin Goregaoker belong to an illustrious lineage of Shri B K Goregaoker, their paternal grandfather who was a well-known sculptor of his time and the Dean of Sir J J School of Arts; and Shri Gajanan Baburao Mhatre (also known as G B Mhatre) their maternal grandfather, who was believed to be the pioneer of the Art Deco style of architecture in Mumbai.
