Are you a motivational speaker? Do you want to inspire people the next time you are on stage giving a speech? Below you’ll find tips on how you can do just that.
Being able to give a motivational speech that inspires an audience is a dream. Most importantly a dream come true for just about any motivational speaker including myself. Yes, I am a motivational speaker as well.
Every motivational speaker wants an audience to leave their motivational seminar inspired. While this might sound easy, it is not. It is with this that we've opted to share with you these speakers Sydney post.
Below you’ll find tips on how best inspire people and make your event a perfect hit. Without further ado, let’s get right straight to it.
Audience’s Attention
As a motivational speaker at a motivational seminar, you need to grab your audience’s attention. In fact, this should be the first thing you should do. Let’s be honest, humans generally have a very short attention span. If you are unable to capture their attention early on, you’ll easily lose them. In other words, they’ll simply lose interest or focus. That said there are a few things you can embrace to retain their attention. For instance, consider asking them questions during your speech.
As a professional motivational speaker, you should easily be to do this as well add on a bit of extra talk. Perfect extra talk examples include an interesting on-topic story, arouse curiosity, play a video or even tell a joke. Also, try avoiding speech clichés. A perfect example of a boring speech cliché is starting a speech by saying “Hi my name is”.
You’re Qualification
Another thing you want to do is talk about your qualification. Let your audience at your motivational seminar know that you are qualified to speak about, well, what you are speaking about. Think of this as a credibility statement, something that’ll hook your audience to you. Having said that do ensure that you communicate this message as early as possible. Preferably, do make your qualification remarks when you are making you are giving your introductory remarks.
Preview Your Motivational Speech
Before giving your speech it is very important that you preview it. Unfortunately, many professional motivational speakers fail to do this on all their motivational seminars. This, as you can tell, doesn’t help there course that much. I like to think of preview of motivational speeches as trailers. Think about it, if you are a fan of movies, will you just go out to a cinema to watch a movie? The answer to this is definitely no. This is actually why studios spend time and money putting up movie trailers.
With this little knowledge in mind, always ensure that you also have your own trailer. Of course, there is no need for a trailer in your case, just make sure that there is a preview of your speech.
Don’t Read Your Speech
Another common mistake among professional motivational speakers is reading their speech. Reading your speech can easily result in your speech is boring. Of course, you’ll at some point have to read something during your speech but try and minimize it. My advice to you as professional motivational speakers is reminding keywords of your speech. If you see yourself having difficulties, consider putting them on a powerpoint you’ll use during your motivational seminar.
