Work abroad as a doctor, nurse or AHP: guides by country. NHS pay bands 2026/27: free Agenda for Change explorer. Free registration route finder: regulator, steps and exams. ORE exam for overseas dentists 2026: Part 1, Part 2, fees. The ORE is for dentists. The GDC says that if you qualified as a primary dentist outside the UK and the EEA, you will most likely need to pass it before you can apply for registration. Dental care professionals (dental nurses, hygienists, therapists, technicians, clinical dental technicians and orthodontic therapists) trained overseas do not sit the ORE: an independent GDC panel assesses their qualification and experience on paper. If that is you, see our page on dental hygienists in the UK for the assessed route. The short list of exemptions A small number of older dental qualifications from named universities in Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa are recognised for direct registration if they were granted before the GDC's cut-off dates.

What does not exempt you A licence from another country's regulator, including Gulf authorities such as the DHA, DOH, MOHAP, SCFHS or QCHP.Specialist qualifications or fellowships gained outside the UK. Reforms. HCPC registration for international physiotherapists 2026. The mapping document is a signpost, not a statement. The HCPC says it must point to evidence found elsewhere in your application and must not contain the evidence itself, such as personal statements or reflections. Anything extra is not assessed and you will be asked to remove it. It is completed in Arial 12 on the profession's Word template, and every standard needs a reference. How to reference Your degree: cite the course information form with the module name and code, page number and the learning outcome (LO) or course content (CC) reference.

For example, standard 12.6 might point to your anatomy module learning outcomes on a named page.Further training: cite the item in your qualification section, the provider and the page of the certificate or syllabus. Postgraduate courses in manual therapy, neurological rehabilitation or respiratory care often close gaps.Experience: cite the role in your experience section, the employer and the supporting document. Referees. PRES exam Ireland 2026: Level 2 and Level 3 dates, fees.

Level 2 is a written exam of multiple-choice questions, answered in three hours. Each question starts with a short clinical scenario followed by a question, and you choose the best answer from the options given. The exam reflects real day-to-day practice and covers the five disciplines the whole system is built on: obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, psychiatry, surgery, and medicine and general practice. The Council publishes a Level 2 Blueprint that sets out what is examined; use it as your syllabus.

PRES as a whole is based on the Council's Eight Domains of Good Professional Practice. 2026 dates, venues and deadlines Both 2026 deadlines have passed. Booking Once you are declared eligible, download the application form for your chosen venue (Dublin and Dubai have separate forms) and email it to pres@mcirl.ie. Withdrawals If you cannot attend, tell pres@mcirl.ie at once.

Attempts. Kenntnisprüfung 2026: format, subjects, fees and attempts. Section 37 ÄApprO describes the exam in a few lines. The state chambers that run it fill in the practical detail. Here is how it works, using the ordinance and the published descriptions from the Ärztekammer Westfalen-Lippe (ÄKWL) and the Bayerische Landesärztekammer (BLÄK). The examination commission You are examined by a commission of three: a chair and two further members, each with a substitute.

The ordinance says they are usually professors or other teachers in the relevant subjects, although suitably qualified doctors can also serve. You will meet examiners who know the German final exam well. Part one: the patient Before the oral exam you are assigned a patient. Part two: the examination discussion The oral-practical exam then lasts at least 60 and at most 90 minutes per candidate, with no more than four candidates on one day. How it is marked The commission makes an overall judgement of your patient presentation and your answers across the subjects.

Language. NHS doctor salary 2026/27 by grade: FY1 to consultant. Each contract moves you up the scale in a different way, which matters when you compare offers or plan a route. Resident doctors In England, pay follows your stage of training, not your age or total years since graduation. Moving from FY2 to CT1 takes you from £47,610 to £55,355; reaching ST3 takes you to £67,325; ST6 brings £76,582. Because the points are tied to training stages, a doctor who leaves a programme and returns, or who works less than full time, moves through them at the pace of their training. Specialty doctors and specialists On the 2021 contracts, pay rises with years of experience in the grade, in steps every three years for specialty doctors.

Consultants In England, consultants pass through five thresholds over 14 years: £113,565 at appointment, £120,249 after three years, £123,672 after four, £135,645 after eight, and £150,569 after 14. An illustrative path in England. Health and Care Worker visa 2026: requirements and fees. You apply online. As part of the application you prove your identity and provide your documents; GOV.UK says there is no fee for giving your biometric information.

Have ready your certificate of sponsorship reference, passport, proof of English if you need it, and bank evidence if your employer is not certifying maintenance. GOV.UK's application pages list any further documents that apply to you, such as a tuberculosis test result for some countries. GOV.UK says you will usually get a decision within three weeks once you have applied online, proved your identity and provided your documents, both from outside the UK and when switching or extending inside it. Faster decisions may be available for an extra fee. The visa can last up to five years before you need to extend, and GOV.UK says you can extend as many times as you like if you still meet the requirements.

If you change employer or move into a job with a different code, you update your visa rather than simply extending it. USMLE for IMGs 2026: Step 1, Step 2 CK, ECFMG and costs. If you graduated from a medical school outside the United States and Canada, you need ECFMG certification before you can start an accredited US residency, and you need a residency before almost any state will license you. ECFMG certification has four parts: an eligible medical school, verification of your final diploma and transcript, passes on USMLE Step 1 and USMLE Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK), and an accepted Pathway, which includes OET Medicine at ECFMG's scores.

Step 1 has been reported as pass or fail only since January 26, 2022. Step 2 CK still gives a three-digit score, with a minimum pass of 218 for exams on or after July 1, 2025, and residency programs compare those scores. Each Step costs $695 through the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB), plus a region fee of $210 (Step 1) or $235 (Step 2 CK) if you test outside the US and Canada. This guide walks through the exams, the certification requirements, the Pathways and the Match in the order you will meet them. NCLEX for international nurses 2026: requirements, fees. Since April 1, 2023 the NCLEX has been the Next Generation NCLEX (NGN), built on NCSBN's Clinical Judgment Measurement Model. The current test plan is the 2026 NCLEX-RN Test Plan, effective April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2029.

The figures below come from that document. Each case study tests the six steps of the clinical judgment model: recognize cues, analyze cues, prioritize hypotheses, generate solutions, take action and evaluate outcomes. The test plan says all item types may include charts, tables and graphics, and that partial credit is scored in three ways: plus/minus, zero/one and rationale scoring. The content follows the Client Needs categories: Two rules from the test plan change how you take the exam. How the exam decides pass or fail The test plan sets out three scenarios. GMC registration without PLAB: every route in 2026. The GMC accepts certain postgraduate qualifications as evidence that you have the knowledge, skills and experience for full registration with a licence.

If yours is on its list, you apply for full registration without sitting PLAB. UK qualifications on the list When we checked, the UK list included MRCP(UK); MRCS in its collegiate, intercollegiate and ENT forms from the Edinburgh, England and Glasgow colleges; FRCS by examination; MRCOG; Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (with a college letter); MRCPsych; FRCA and the Primary FRCA (with a college letter confirming completion); MCEM or MRCEM and FRCEM (since 1 August 2018); FRCOphth by examination (with a college letter); FRCPath by examination; FRCR; the Joint Surgical Colleges Fellowship Examination (JSCFE); and the Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine awarded since 1 January 2010. Several entries need a letter from the college confirming exactly what you passed and when.

Overseas qualifications on the list. PLAB 1 and PLAB 2 in 2026: fees, dates, venues, attempts. Acceptable postgraduate qualifications The GMC keeps a list of postgraduate qualifications it accepts as evidence that you have the knowledge, skills and experience for full registration with a licence. It includes UK royal college qualifications such as MRCP(UK), MRCS (several versions), FRCS, MRCOG, MRCPCH, MRCPsych, FRCA (and the Primary FRCA, with a college letter), MRCEM and FRCEM, FRCOphth by examination and FRCR, plus a separate list of named overseas qualifications from bodies in Australia and New Zealand, Canada, Ireland, Hong Kong and elsewhere.

The qualification should have been awarded no more than three years before the date the GMC approves your application; if it is older, you must provide further evidence of recent medical experience. If your qualification is not on the list, it is not acceptable for this route, though the GMC may accept a letter from a UK medical royal college confirming that an international qualification is equivalent to its own. Sponsorship Specialists. NMC registration cost for international nurses (2026) The NMC's own fees for an internationally trained nurse or midwife come to £1,226 if you pass each test first time. That is the NMC's published total, and it is made up of four fees: the £167 qualification evaluation fee, the £83 CBT, the £794 OSCE and the £182 registration fee. These are the fees following the NMC's increase on 1 October 2026; older guides still show the previous £140 evaluation and £153 registration fees.

After you are registered you pay an annual fee of £143 (for fee notices sent on or after 1 October 2026), which keeps you on the register. Revalidation every three years has no separate fee. The NMC total does not include costs outside the NMC: an English language test, police clearances, document translations, travel to a UK test centre for the OSCE, and, if you are moving to the UK, the Health and Care Worker visa (£324 for up to three years or £628 for longer, per person). Resits add more: from £50 for a CBT numeracy resit to £794 for a full OSCE resit. MedicSail Healthcare Consulting | UK, EU & USA Licensing.
