Coriander, Coriandrum sativum, is one of only a handful scarcely any plants that produce both a herb and a spice; with the others being (dill weed and dill seed) and (fenugreek leaves and fenugreek seed). From the leaves of the coriander plant comes the herb most popular as cilantro or Chinese parsley, while the dry products of the plant are perceived as coriander seeds.
