Southern California poker players will have more opportunities to win extra cash at the Pala Casino Spa and Resort, which hosts the River Card Warm-Up tournament at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19 and noon on Saturday, Aug. 20 at the River Card Quest for the Cup.
Pala Poker will also continue its popular Thursday DeepStack Turbo and Friday night 2K tournament, adding a Weeknd Highhand frenzy to its ongoing popular promotions. The frenzy includes a new Saturday $100 highhand awarded every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., a regular Sunday $100 highhand showing every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and a cash-frizz wheel showing daily and awarding up to $200 for quad and above.
The promotion underway will include a $100 high-hand on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Thursday High Hand and Plush Marathon, which runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the Limits and No Limits, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Chase for the Do will run from midnight on Aug. 1 to midnight on Aug. 31, with a prize of $10,000. Athletes win by accruing their live playtime. Forty hours earns $60, and sixty hours receive $200 and 80 hours and $400. When athletes withdraw their cash, the time goes back to zero.
The River Card Warm-up, which will take place on Friday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m., will purchase $125 and have the top five finalists take seats in the River Card Quest, which will take place at noon on Saturday, Aug. 20. The tournament will have a $225 purchase and an estimated $50,000 guarantee. The blinds will be 30 minutes and re-entry will be allowed through six stages.
Other tournaments of the month are as follows:
Thursday Deep Stack Turbo: 7:15 p.m.; Purchase is $45+$10, with $1,200 guaranteed and $10 optional employee purchases. Chip is $20,000/$5,000 with a $10 bounty.
Friday night 2K: 7:15 p.m.; $2,000 guaranteed and $5 optional staff buy will be $35+5. Chips will be $2,000/$2,000. Late and re-entry will be allowed up to stage 3 with full stack. This tournament won't be held on Aug. 19.
