1account claims increased demand for digital ID among UK betting industry

KYC and AML validation services supplier 1account has claimed that digital ID technology has been broadly welcomed by the UK’s betting and gambling industry for player 벳무브 www.sportstoto7.com protection.

The company had earlier conducted a consultation exploring the “benefits, opportunities and challenges” of linking player accounts and activities across different operators to a digital ID.

Participants in the consultation included online and offline gambling operators, industry regulators, the DCMS and gambling support service providers, who responded via written briefings.

The consultation found that a “clear majority” believed that digital IDs across multiple accounts would provide “greater identity assurance”, while other respondents felt that the tech would provide insights into player behaviour for affordability checking purposes.

Ralph Topping, former William Hill CEO and 1account advisory board member, said: “The gambling industry in the UK takes its responsibilities to customers extremely seriously, however they can only act on the information they themselves hold about a person’s activities.”

“Currently, some individual operators provide tools to allow a player to see their net deposit position – their deposits minus withdrawals – which is the financial position of their gambling activity.

“However, digital ID has the capability to tackle the challenge of players that use multiple accounts which can hide the true extent of a gambler’s financial position.”

Different configuration options were also highlighted as providing customers with greater choice on information made available to them and playing flexibility, whilst a feature informing bettors of “milestones” such as net deposit positions was also supported.

By implementing these solutions, 1account maintains that the gambling industry would gain a consolidated view of a player’s financial position, including balances, transaction history and net gains or losses.

“Having access to a consolidated view of their balances, transaction history and ultimately their net gains or losses means such players can make more informed choices,” Topping continued.

“Likewise, it allows licensed operators to make informed decisions in responsible player account management such as spend or deposit limits.

Lastly, 1account maintained that 100% of respondents to the consultation believed that gamblers with multiple accounts would benefit from the linking of these accounts via a digital ID to show overall net deposits.

Further areas underscored included information sharing relating to salary, rental or mortgage costs accessible via open banking digital IDs and protection of losing players https://mixxmix.com/product/search.html?banner_action=&keyword=https%3A%2F%2Fsportstoto7.com%2F from targeting.

The firm backed its findings by citing UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) data which showed that around 10.5 million in the UK bet online, whilst British bettors hold an average of three online accounts and problem gamblers hold at least five.

Topping concluded: “It’s clear to see that there’s a strong appetite for the use of digital ID in the gambling industry. It can protect regular, vulnerable or problem gamblers who hold player accounts across different operators both on and offline and also support operators in making responsible decisions on behalf of their customers.”

Nebraska casino bill clears first hurdle

Nebraska moved one step closer to new casino development after a bill secured first-round approval from the state’s legislature.

In the first of three votes, Nebraska lawmakers okayed a bill which, if successful, would permit casinos to be developed in the six counties that already have licensed horseracing 해외스포츠배팅사이트 https://bit.ly/3uINrxj+  tracks.

This would bring commercial gaming facilities to Douglas, Lancaster, Adams, Dakota, Hall and Platte, all counties in eastern and central Nebraska.

Any operator wishing to construct a casino elsewhere would have to wait on a detailed impact assessment from the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission, which, based on its findings, may deny applicants a licence. This assessment is due by 1 January 2025.

According to Republican Senator Tom Briese, Chair of the General Affairs Committee, this measure is designed to balance the needs and concerns of developers and communities.

In November 2020, voters overwhelmingly approved measures to allow casinos at state-licensed horseracing tracks, with approximately 65% of voters backing three ballot initiatives that effectively legalised commercial casino gambling in Nebraska.

But the actual implementation of Nebraskans’ will has progressed slowly. However, with this bill’s first-round approval secure, the finish line is finally in sight. While this may come as welcome news to many, the Cornhusker state’s existing tribal casinos will unlikely find it cause for celebration.

This further follows on from proposals published by the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission last November, which stated that companies intending to open a casino at a racetrack in the state will need to pay $1m upfront for a licence valid for 20 years.

ESA Gaming Eyes Global Growth, Expands to Denmark, Sweden

ESA Gaming, the online gaming supplier behind EasySwipe, is on a mission to become a major gaming supplier, and recent expansions are making that goal a reality.

The company announced today that the Danish Gambling Authority, Spillemyndigheden, greenlighted its launch.

ESA Gaming also recently announced that it’s expanding its EasySwipe platform to the Swedish iGaming market. The launch followed approval by Spelinspektionen, the country’s gaming regulator.

The move further solidifies ESA Games’ position in the global gaming market as it continues to explore new ground. ESA Gaming has spent the past year expanding its reach throughout Europe. The gaming supplier is live in Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Romania, but recently added two additional countries to its growing list.

Easier Gaming Options
EasySwipe claims to offer a transition link between online casino and sportsbook operations.

The company asserts that the EasySwipe platform has been responsible for converting 20% of sports bettors into gamers, increasing operators’ sports betting revenue by 3%. They say it has also led to more time spent interacting with the gaming options, increasing screen time by about 5%.

EasySwipe’s suite of games is accessible via a widget that ESA Games designed and developed. This allows players to move between games and sports betting, rather than having to visit another section of the site or a different casino page. Conversion to casino games is also possible at a lower cost.

Scandinavian Gaming Growth
Both Sweden and Denmark are witnessing substantial growth in their gaming industries.

Last year, Spelinspektionen dealt with 622 license requests for online gaming operations, closing the year with 2,252 licensed operators. It was likely worth it since the country’s gambling industry was worth $2.67 billion. Online gaming increased 6%, despite the presence of spending limits that were in place through November.

Denmark experienced similar growth. It added 13.27% to its prior-year figures, taking in $427.4 million in 2021. iGaming was responsible for 45.29% of all gambling activity, with sports betting accounting for 38.86%.
