Skirt by recycling t-shirts. Recycle old shirts. T-shirt latch hook rug tutorial. I really love flokati rugs. I have two that are safely tucked away in my parents basement awaiting our reunion. When I learned that I would be having a child and building a nursery for him, I wanted a flokati. A gray one. Being a flokati snob though, I knew that I couldn’t afford the price tag ( ), and I knew that I would be too precious about the rug ( ). So I chose the only sensible alternative: I would make a rug. I’m going to show you how it’s done, but let me warn you- while this rug was super inexpensive to make with the resource of money- it was very costly in the resource of time. I have easily 60 hours invested into this rug, and many many more hours donated by family and friends.
And now, this is how to make your very own latch hook rug. Supplies: Latch hook canvas latch hook tool old t-shirts scissors or rotary cutting tool/mat seam binding masking tape dye (optional) All of these things should be available at your local craft store, with the exception of the old t-shirts. Tree Of Life And Pentagram Ouija Board - 060-2077 by Medieval Collectibles. A typical Ouija board is a flat board marked with letters, numbers, and symbols, the Tree of Life and Pentagram Ouija board meets these criteria, but far exceeds what one would expect an actual Ouija board to look like, by leaps and bounds. As decorative as it is, this Ouija board is better suited for display then for use, although it performs just fine in either capacity. The board takes the form of a cracked, stone-colored octagon. The alphabet begins near the bottom of the board and runs clockwise in a circle around the board, broken up only by the words 'yes' and 'no' which are located in recessed indentions into the board.
A circular wood-like Celtic knot forms the next layer, providing separation between the alphabet and the numbers, which form an arch across the top half of the inner board. Opposite the numbers is the message 'Goodbye'. At the heart of the board is a gnarled old tree decorated with more Celtic knots, as well as a simple pentagram. Key Features Measurements. Guitar String Braclet- French paper bead and found object cuff. June 20th, 2009 in gallery Email 16 users recommend I made this bracelet out of handrolled paper beads made from a vintage French book on French history titled "Histoire de France". The bracelet also has hand coiled bronze guitar string beads, sections of brass tubing found at a salvage store I hand sawed and filed, and a variety of brass objects found from vintage clocks.
The beads are on annealed steel wire strung on to silver toned copper wire with hand coiled brass wire spacer beads in between each bead. Book_wreath_rect540.jpg (332×500) Wreath6_rect540.jpg (430×419) Katydid and Kid: Recycled Book Wreath Tutorial. I was hitting the books again today, not reading but crafting with that book I made my Christmas banners with. This time I turned my attention to wreath making. I have probably 300 pages more to use up, so I thought I'd make a Christmas wreath using the vintage pages. I took inspiration from Living With Lindsay's paperback book wreath, though I modified the design a bit. Materials:~foam wreath ~a book (a cheap paperback would work well) ~hot glue gun/glue sticks ~scissors ~pencil ~ribbon ~straight pins Step 1Tear out a page from your book, and fold it in half width-wise.
Fold the page again in half. Step 2Draw a leaf shape onto the folded paper. Then cut out the leaf. Step 3Cut out a bunch of leaves and fold them in half down the middle. I don't know how many leaves I used for the wreath, (maybe 100?) Step 4Get out your hot glue gun and extra glue sticks. I used the eraser end of a pencil to push the paper onto the hot glue. You could use it as a centerpiece on your table.
