Pap test with HPV co-testing: This method involves collecting cells from the cervix with a swab or brush and examining them under a microscope. The same sample can be tested for the presence of HPV DNA using a laboratory test.
HPV test only: This method involves testing for the presence of HPV DNA in cells collected from the cervix, without a Pap test. This method is recommended for women over the age of 30 as part of cervical cancer screening.
