I'm almost 2 years in remission from Cancer in the lungs, after a year of Chemo. Life is getting back to normal, whatever normal is. lol It's nice to be able to make plans and actually fulfill them. I am extremely grateful for the life that I have now. However, from time to time I do still bitch and vent. I guess I'm still human. lol I like cycling and i'm planning a long distant ride in the summer. This goal was on my bucket list, I can hardly wait. I took a course in bicycle repair last year, but unfortunately I had an accidental fall and broke my right ankle and it didn't heal properly so I'm going to have to have another surgery. Another summer in a cast. Such is life! Well I had the operation and I'm in a wheel chair yet once again.

America's Freak Luck During the Battle of Midway The Battle of Midway may be remembered as one of the most spectacular naval battles in history and one of the huge turning points in the Pacific theater, but it started out as a pure clusterfuck for the Americans.

6 Insane Coincidences You Won't Believe Actually Happened

Despite going into battle with most of Japan's game plan in their pocket thanks to American codebreakers/Bothan spies, the U.S. Navy had little to show for it in the early hours of June 4, 1942. Just about every aircraft that took on the Japanese that day was destroyed, and all without delivering any serious damage. In short, the Battle of Midway started off like the Battle of Endor, only with every fighter in the Rebel Fleet crashing into the Death Star's deflector shield. Where it Gets Weird: There was one squadron of American dive bombers lead by Lieutenant Commander C. His squadron started dropping like flies until, in an act of sheer luck that would make even J.K. Heart (symbol) Conventional heart symbol A typical depiction of the Sacred Heart (often shown with other attributes, e.g. surmounted by a cross, pierced by nails or swords, etc.)

Heart (symbol)

The "wounded heart" indicating love sickness came to be depicted as a heart symbol pierced with an arrow (Cupid's), or heart symbol "broken" in two or more pieces. The use of the heart symbol as a logograph for the English verb "to love" derives from the use in "I ♥ NY", introduced in 1977. [citation needed] The earliest known visual depiction of a heart symbol, as a lover hands his heart to the beloved lady, in a manuscript of the Roman de la poire, mid-13th century.

The combination of the "heart shape" and its use within the "heart" metaphor developed at the end of the Middle Ages. Vimeo. Drug Inspired Music - Stereodose Radio. A rare resident only found in a small (in global terms) area of British Columbia’s Northwest coast. This bear is unique in that it is white. Not an albino, this bear is actually a black bear born out of a rare anomaly held in the genes of both parents. Framed Head shot - Nikon D700 70-300mm VR F4.5-5.6 Lens In the early fall of 2009 I was fortunate to be able to spend some time in Hartley Bay, home of the Gitga’at community, where I met some wonderful people, including one of the top bear viewing guides in BC, Marven Robinson.
