Medicare Advantage (sometimes named Part C) is the name for the method in which health insurance organizations offer Medicare benefits through private plans. Individuals with Medicare may select to join these plans. They even have Medicare; they just receive their Medicare coverage (Parts A & B) through the Medicare Advantage plan.
