Resort World NYC Hosted Direct Job Fair

Resort World New York City is preparing some pretty interesting news for locals who are looking for a job or are interested in changing their careers. Hosting the annual job fair at Queen's Casino Real Estate for the first time since the unprecedented situation in 2020. It will be this week and 60 different employers from three states will participate.

Due to health and safety protocols in 2020 and 2021, Genting America's Game Property has not been able to host its own annual events. But this year's easing of restrictions has made casinos ready to welcome anyone looking for a career. Candidates are encouraged to wear work clothes with resumes.

The job fair will be held this week on Friday, November 18, 2022 and runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The casino announced that it would be hosted by state Senator Joe Adabbo Jr. in partnership with the Queens Chamber of Commerce. There is also a free parking lot for job seekers on the site located just across from the property entrance. Wheelchairs are also available at the venue.

Organizations to attend the fair include NYC Health + Hospitals, Good Temps, U.S. Army, World Financial Group, Charter Spectrum, Con Edison, and NY Helmet to Hardhats. More information on the full list of events or vendors can be found by contacting the Senate office at (718) 738-1111.

Mr. Adabbo said many people are still looking for work, as the state continues to recover from the unfortunate events of 2020. With many companies looking for employees, this event is a great way to fit both sides. He hopes to create a stronger labor force and economy by bringing in job seekers and employers.

Resort World NYC also informed the public that it will host Career Day for college students at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. The plan will enable students to become familiar with the industry and learn about operations, available positions, scholarships, and more.

The Queens casino facility is one of the leaders in one of the three state casino licenses, so you may soon need to find additional staff. CGS-CIMB Research predicts casinos are likely to get one. Once approved, the building can expand its operations and add live table games to its amenities, offering more pay-per-view seats.

Earlier this week, Resorts World New York City said some of the state's team members participated in this year's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In addition, as a sign of support, the game venue donated US$5,000 to the American Cancer Society, as well as a huge US$1,800 donation raised by employees.
